I have one thing to say: UNDER THE FENCE???? They should call it LICKING THE CARPET.
I wanted to die. I did feel great after the whole workout. I am looking forward to tomorrow. No doubt my butt will be served back to me on a platter.

Anyone else out there started today? Let's keep each other accountable and commited.

I started yesterday and I am feeling it today, in a good way! I agree those Under the Fence were to my limit. I am not that good at any of this yet. I did the bungy straps instead of the pull ups because I can't do a pull up yet, but I WILL get there soon. I am doing plyometrics today when I get home from work so we will see how that goes. Anyone else do the ply-x yet? I know my legs and butt are going to be sore tomorrow, but I dont' mind as long as I get results!

I do want to have people make me accountable and committed.

I do have a few questions, I did the ab workout after the chest and arm one (Classic), but I didn't feel like I could do any of the ab exercises because I was so drained from the first workout. Maybe I should stagger the workouts? But my abs are still sore today so I must have done something.

OK Day 2.

I woke up with sore muscles in the back and chest. But I felt good. I did Ply-o. I was soaked by the end. But it felt good. We will see how I will be at the end of the day.

Allison8: I know what you mean. I was pooped while doing ab ripper and my reps were very low. But as Tony says in the DVD do what you can. I am sure that in a couple of weeks we will be doing a lot more and we will love hating it.

Shanysd: Hope your kicking it.

My question to anyone out there is:Am I the only one who thinks there's alot of food to eat. I am following the portions but man, 10 egg whites thats alot of food.

Mattjulie: I did the plyX last night and I was soaked! I did most of the reps so I was pretty pleased with myself, but there were times where my legs just wanted to quit.

10 egg whites sounds like a lot! I have been eating better on my own, but not following any particular plan. I suppose I should figure out the food journal on here, that might help. I do the supplements and after workout drink. Other than that I have been watching what I have been eating.

Day 3
So, Ply-o kicked my butt. I am in so much pain.Muscles I did not know I had are aching.
Woke up this morning and did shoulders & arms but I was no going full tilt. (Feeling abit under the waether as well). I barely did any ab ripper as my body refused to use those muscles in protest.
I might do my training tomorrow evening to get a few more hours of rest to my body.

Matt, I did my day 3 workout last night, shoulders/arms. I was dreading it because I am still so sore from chest/back but it really wasn't an issue. I have volleyball practice (against local college team) tonight so I won't be doing a P90X workout tonight, but I will be doing the Yoga tomorrow night. I hope it is okay to skip a day... I am still doing something active.

I know what you mean, my abs were in TOTAL rebellion last night during Ab Ripper... they should call that the Ab Reaper!

I am currently on my 2nd go around with the "X". Completed my first round in late spring and then fell off the wagon over the summer. Well I'm back with it and love it. Like many other things in life we worry about the numbers. My advice...DON'T!!! Keep pressing play every day and monitor your progress. Your numbers will go up dramatically, but more importantly you will begin to feel better (more energy) throughout the day and toatally wiped out by the time bedtime arrives. It's great! Just do what you can. Every week I try and do at least 1-2 more reps in every exercise. Sometimes my body let's me and sometimes it doesn't. Don't beat yourself up about it. At some point in time pictures need to be posted for accountability sake. Take your before photo and don't post them. 30 days later take your photo again and notice the change. Truthfully, the time period between 30 and 60 days is remarkable and you will then want to share your results. If you don't that's o.k., but always be proud of yourself for the accomplishments you have made.

Don't call your new eating style a diet. I am currrently 6'0'' at 230 lbs (I am at the edge of healthy/unhealthy body fat %). If my clothes fit good, I feel good. I don't get too hung up on the scale. At times it is a good refresher to step on to refresh on why I/we are doing this. The meal plan from P90X will continually keep your metabolism stoked. If you feel as though it is too much food, cut back. But let your body and the results dictate how much you are eating. I found myself being a carb junkie. I love pasta, bread, etc... By cutting back and altering when I ate those is what helped with my results. I just deleated the starchy carbs after 12:00 p.m hit and then changed to the green leafy carbs (broccoli, spinach, sweet potato, etc..)for dinner. Find and follow "Michi's ladder" that is avaiable on the site. It is a great way to differentiate and plan out you weekly meal plan. By the way...allow yourself a treat once in a while. I love chicken wings, so instead of the fried wings, I prepare some boneless chicken breasts with the buffalo sauce and dip them in my low fat (can't stand fat free) blue cheese or ranch dressing. Takes care of the craving with no guilt.

Continue to post..it is a GREAT motivator!!!

Hi everyone. So I missed tonights workout because I worked 13hrs and was unproductive by the time I came home. So I am going to wake up early and do kenpo and then do chest and back (I still can't do an unassisted pull up) in the afternoon. I already had missed Tuesday because I got stuck working so late. So I considered Tuesday my rest day. Anyway, I wanted to know if anyone is following the nutrition guide?? I am having a hard time and find it confusing since I have never "dieted" before I am not used to counting calories. So far I have tried to cut back on my carbs, or atleast just have complex carbs and stay away from them with my dinner and take in mostly lean protien. I guess I better send my butt to bed so i wake up and do Kenpo.

OK I AM BACK!

I was out of it since last Wednesday. I was hit with a bacterial infection that pretty much made me useless. But thanks to Mr. Flemming and his Penicillin, I am back on my feet.
Tomorrow I do my Yoga. I am looking forward to sweating for the right reasons.
Now I know I am out of sinc with the rest of you but I hope to keep on posting here and seeing how far I am going to take this. So...

I am doing Yoga tonight too. I hope I get better at it because last week I had to stop half way through because I just couldn't get it and I got frustrated, and I was so sore. I hope I have enough time to get it in. I officiate tonight and I am not expecting to get home until late.

Well, I got up at 5AM to do my yoga. And I managed to do the whole thing. Mind you I could barely reach past my knee cap on most strtches. And forget the crane. I won't attempt that unless I have somelone ready to dail 911 next to me. But by day 90 I will attempt it.

It did feel good. Mind you my body was rested since I have not excersise in a week. Tomorrow should be a kicker. So we will see how it plays out.

Alli8 I hope your session went well and that you had time to squeeze it in. Who knoe it would be hard to find 90 miuntes in a day for exercise.

Keep at it everyone, it will pay off.

Ok,
Well I did legs and back and ab ripper. It felt good. Ab ripper is still a killer.
My food intake is a bit all over the map. I eat healthy but I don't tkae the time to isure that my portions are sufficiant. No major lack of energy though at this point. I am going to try and be more attentive in the coming week.

I did Yoga last night (it was a quick game so I got home WAY earlier than I expected). I did the entire hour and a half, I like the balancing stuff better and I could actually relax like you are supposed to.

I also need to be more attentive in what and how much I eat.

Good morning,
Well I am an Alpha Male. I don't seem to read instructions very well.I should of done Chest and Back today but I just put the next DVD in the pack so I did Core Synergistics. So now I am wondering if I should do Chest and back tonight.
Saturday I did Kenpo. My coordination is really worst than I thought.
I could have sworn I was a dead ringer for Chuck Norris when I was 11. Must have lost some in the past 25 years.
I do feel good. I am losing weight. I try not to weigh myself but I can feel it in my clothes. And a few comments here and there.
I have been using bands but I think I need to change the free weights. Wich sucks because of the $$$.

alli8: Glad to see you were able to do yoga. I find it a bit long. I will have to find a trick to make the time go by quicker.
Keep at it with the nutrition side. I know that it is one of the main contributers why I am losing weight at this point.

Keep up the good work!

mattjulie: Sucks that you did the Core dvd instead of chest/back. I am sure you could do that this evening. What is the Core dvd like? I have never used that one. Keep up the good work!

I had a good weekend, got my workouts in and played 2 hours indoor volleyball yesterday on my rest day. Nutrition is going better. I still need more protien, I think I might do protein bars as a snack and a shake in the morning. I hope I am doing this right. I have breakfast early 5:30 am, then I am hungry for a snack at 9:00, lunch at noon, dinner around 6:00, then I usually have a recovery drink after my workout at 9:30. I don't eat alot at one time, but it seems that I graze. I have been making better choices and packing my lunch has helped a TON! I haven't been on the scale recently, I think that is a good thing, clothes are fitting better. YES!
