DL...count me in! I started Insanity back in August and had to stop due to health issues. Now that those are resolved, I'm ready to go from start to finish.

A bit about me:

I'm 39 years young; 140 pounds with about 10 to lose. I work at home, so staying on a good eating/workout schedule is a bit easier for me. I'm fairly athletic and loved the Insanity workouts when I did them - though each one was a challenge. I'm expecting them to be even more challenging this time around because I haven't worked out in about a month.

Looking forward to starting on Monday, Oct. 5!!

Thanks...I am looking forward to starting over ;0

The DVDs are all that and then some. Before you start:

Make sure you have REALLY GOOD shoes (Trainers) with good padding. I didn't do that the first time around and paid for it (the kneesz0.

Also...if your workout space is a hard floor...add some padding. Use rugs, exercise mats, whatever you can find. I have a hard floor and used those puzzle mats. This time around, I'm putting a an area rug with lots of cushioning on top of that. Don't want to tear the knees up.

I'm starting my clean eating today. I'll need it for Insanity. Hope you're doing the same and let's push it!!

4 Days and Counting!

Great to have you with us deviluha! Sounds like you're on the right path. Getting things planned out ahead of time is very important for the success of the program.

Leeial thanks for the advice, the trainers I used for P90X are about 3 yrs old and I could tell by the end that the side break down was getting pretty bad. I tried to cheat by buying some inserts but that almost made them worse. So I've been looking in consumer reports and online for the best options.

Hey, Darrin....just sent you a buddy invitation.

Yeah, don't fool around with the shoes..they're the most important thing when doing Insanity. Also, you should consider getting some good padding for your floor, that will help you save your joints.

I'm heading out this weekend to stock up on fruits, vegetables and lean meats. I'm trying to eat from the top 2 tiers of Michi's ladder to maximize my results. We'll see how that goes.

Got the invite Thanks!

Bought some Asics Gel-150 TR's last night $59.99 rated on three different sites as the top Cross trainer. Sure are comfy! Thought I was going to have to pay alot more for good shoes.

I love Chicken, Fish, Fruits and Veggies so the nutrition plan is a sinch if I plan. It's when I get short on time and I rely on the Protein bars that I get into trouble.

I also love Cold Stone Ice Cream...BAD!

Hello!
Count me in!
I'm restarting INSANITY too!!!! I started it in late July and had to stop because of my ankle. I think I'm good now!!!!lol

A little about me!

I'm 23 yrs old. Have done 1 round of P90X and LOVED IT!
Had great results!
I'm 5'4", 145lbs, and have a goal of reaching 129lbs.
I think INSANITY is it!
My other goal is also to eat healthier and follow the guidelines of the diet religiously ( I tend to get off track very easily...)
Hopefully here I will get the motivation that I need and also motivate others!
BRING IT!!!

Hi everyone. Count me in. Here's my story.

I'm 32 years old and had spent about 6 years struggling with my weight off and on. I've never been FAT, just, well...chubby and uncomfortable. From late October 08-January 09 I lost 25lbs. In February I started a round of P90X. I finished (not strongly, I'll admit, but I did finish) my round in late May. By the first week of June I had lost a total of 30lbs, was wearing clothes in sizes I hadn't seen since high school, and was without a doubt in the best shape of my life.

Two weeks later my wife and i sold our house. Then we had 6 weeks to find a new one. Then we had to move. Then we had, then we had, then we had...you get the idea.

When I got on the scale last week I could hardly speak. I had gained 30lbs. In two months.

All that work. All that effort. Gone. I gained back all of it. To. The. Pound.

I have to admit I'm still reeling a bit. I'd love to tell you that my grief and shame has transformed into an intense desire and motivation to change. I'm not quite there yet. But I have to start again. I have to pull myself out of this rut and try to get some momentum going.

I had ordered Insanity when it first came out but it's sat in the box for about a month now. No more. I have a LOT of work to do on myself.

So count me in.

Oh yeah - to Darrin: Thanks for starting the group and for the open invite to join. These boards helped me a lot during P90X and I'll be anxious to continue using them throughout Insanity.

Do you mind sharing where you got your cross trainers? I'm going to have to get a pair this weekend...

Thanks! ~Joe

We're glad to have you! This thread is great for motivating anyone. I had life issues get in the way of my first try of Insanity..trip to parents, problems with asthma, etc, etc, etc...you get the point.

I'm starting over - and you can too!

Count me in. I'm 43 years old. 6 feet tall and 225lbs.When Shaun made the remark about setting the treadmill @ 4.5 with a 3 incline, it was like he was talking to me personally. I get winded easy, but like they say "Don't hit pause" Good luck to all of you.

What's Your "WHY"?
10/2/09 5:08 PM as a reply to leeial.
We can all do this, the real challenge is changing your life after the 60 or 90 days are up!

That's why they call it an Elite Nutrition plan and not a Diet.

I can see myself being able to eat like this for the rest of my life!

For me it's easy (other than no "Cold Stone" ice cream)

Others may fight to stay on the plan each day for the rest of their lives.

I've found in my life there are always Excuses but rarely Reasons for quiting.

The most important thing each of us have to come up with is our "WHY"!

"WHY" are each of us going to start this plan and is it a strong enough "WHY" to get us to the end and complete our goals?

Maybe you have more than 1 "WHY" and that's Great!

Just make sure your "WHY" will get you through the Excuses!

My "WHY" is that I want to be fit and healthy for the rest of my life so I don't end up like my father who died at 63 during open heart surgery.

What is your "WHY"?
