I have been looking all over but I'm having a hard time finding results from women who did Insanity. Let's see some after pictures and stats!

Did anyone lose weight? I have a friend wanting to do the program but she also wants to lose about 10 pounds. Is this a good goal for the program? Are women losing weight with this?

Hi Cassie!

I just finished with my first round of Insanity on September 20th and I had some really great results! I followed the nutrition plan that came with the DVD's and didn't miss a workout. I'm gonna post what I posted in the thread I was following at the time...


My Insanity Photo Album

The password is Peanut (case sensitive).


My Fit Test results - Day 1 and Day 63:

Switch Kicks - Day 1 = 50 / Day 63 = 55
Power Jacks - Day 1 = 25 / Day 63 = 44
Power Knees - Day 1 = 55 / Day 63 = 90
Power Jumps - Day 1 = 25 / Day 63 = 40
Globe Jumps - Day 1 = 5 / Day 63 = 8
Suicide Jumps - Day 1 = 8 / Day 63 = 12
Push-Up Jacks - Day 1 = 1 / Day 63 = 27
Low Plank Obliques - Day 1 = 39 / Day 63 = 55

I'm happy with those results! I can definitely tell that I've gotten better cardio wise.


My Statistics from Day 1 to Day 63 are:

Right Leg before - 26

Thank you, Cassie! It is a BodyBugg and I love it! I got it in August and the only time it leaves my arm is when I shower or when I charge it up. It's great to be able to keep track of the # of calories I burn each day!

Thanks, Sara!! I'm on P90X now...just started week 3 today! It's so tame compared to Insanity, haha! It's a great workout though and Tony is fun!

I did stick with the nutrition program. I would have about 1400 - 1700 calories a day. I really loved the meals that came with the book. I think there were 3 or 4 days that I couldn't eat meals from right out of the book for the full day, but I made sure that the meals were healthy.

Good luck with the program! When do you finish P90X?

Fantastic results! This was just what I needed to see too. I'm gearing up to start on Monday. Your photos are incredibly encouraging!

I enjoy P90X (I have yet to finish an entire round though) but I really want to burn some flab off first. So I'm switching to Insanity for 60 days. We'll see what happens.

Then I plan on jumping into insanity right away - Im getting married on Jan 22 so I want to finish before I leave for mexico!

I got my dvds this week and going through them now. Im pretty excited, it looks INTENSE!

Thank you, XKat! Good luck with your journey!!! Just remember that the people on the video have been doing this for at least 60 days so they're in way good shape. Go at your own pace and you'll improve over time and end up taking less breaks during the workout. If you move too fast, you'll end up having to take a lot more breaks towards the end of each phase of each workout.

I'm noticing a bit of a difference in P90X, but I think the changes happen more towards the last 2 months than during the first month. I'm enjoying the workouts. Tomorrow is the first day of week 4...so 1 month is almost done! It's gone by very FAST!!

I'm just starting month 2, and it's killer. But I am loving my results too! Will post at 60 days. I haven't lost a single pound so far, but I can see the difference, so I guess new muscle weight and lost fat are ballancing me out ;)

I completed Insanity last weekend (pic is about midway through). Keep in mind, I started it with normal BMI, after 6 months of ChaLEAN Extreme and 9 months of Ten Minute Trainer before that. Didn't lose a pound. Of course, I wasn't exactly following the diet plan, either.

However, I did get better endurance, slimmer legs, lower resting heart rate, faster cardiac response, and better definition on my forearms and lower legs. emoticon I'm happy with the results. I do wish I had started with a heart rate monitor; didn't get one until the Max cycle, but I am quite pleased with the calories burned. Oh, and I know this goes without saying to anybody who's done more than one Insanity workout, but make sure you've got good supportive shoes!

So Im on a rest day on P90x and decided that I wanted to try Insanity. So I skipped the Fit Test and went to cardio... and man did it kick my butt! I did maybe 25% of it and certainly didn't keep up, but it felt great afterwords!

I can't wait to kick insanity in the butt!

How's it going everybody? I agree, there's a ton of threads about MEN doing Insanity and losing weight but not enough women talking about it...good idea starting this thread.

Anyway, I started Insanity a few weeks ago, and I've been LOVING it. I've always been active, an avid weight lifter, played softball my entire life pretty much and landed a full scholarship in Oklahoma, but had to come home due to injury...so, I'm back in the great state of TEXAS and focusing on working out 100% (aside from school and work that is...)

I can honestly say I've never done anything as intense as Insanity, unless you count off-season conditioning in Oklahoma that is. After my SECOND time of doing the Insanity Plyo circuit, I was closer to throwing up than I've been since, like I said, off-season conditioning. But now, it's more fun than anything. I guess that was the plateau I had to cross over. Now my only obstacle is developing my leg strength again. As far as cardio goes, I can keep up with the cast on the tapes. But as far as LEGS go, that's why I've had to take a few breaks (I limit myself to one break every other move). It's like I have a full tank of gas, but flat tires...hehe. But it's getting better..and I LOVE the ab video. It's short but right to the point ;)

As far as pics, sorry, no pics yet...but I can tell you I KNOW it's working. I have one month to go on my P90X, so I do that and Insanity and usually the Insanity Ab video, every day. I eat constantly so I have absolutely no issues keeping up- I'm actually even MORE energized it seems, and I've never been happier. emoticon Yay for endorphins (spelling).

Hope to hear more stories! emoticon

Hi everyone! Yes we need more women doing Insanity. I did my fit test yesterday and I honestly felt like puking. I was also lightheaded. I have to say I was really worried about doing all this plyo because I have bad knees. I'm not in chronic pain, but walking downstairs in heels hurts. They creak all the time when I work out. Lateral movements like jumping jacks usually give me a shooting pain. But I took up the carpet in my fitness room (well some of it, I'm doing it section by section) and replaced it with that interlocking gym mat flooring. I also found a really great thick cushiony yoga mat at Walmart of all places. So for the higher impact things, it really did the trick. I was able to do jumping jacks with no pain at all.

So tonight I did Plyo Cardio Circuit and it was brutal - but from an exhausting standpoint. I didn't get nauseous. Got through the first round of the level one drills, had a tough time with the pushups. Barely got through the second round. And ended up jogging through the last round. PURE exhaustion.

I'm going to do my best to stay off the scale.

I think I'm going to love this workout.

WOW! You look awesome. Couldn't believe my eyes. Wouldnt believe it wasnt a paid advertisement if you hadn't posted that on the messagae board...in only 60 days. Truly amazing. I assume from your measurements and the fit test there must be a lot of leg and butt exercise then? I need to work my dierre! At 40 it isn't where it used to be! I am very small on top but my love handles on the top of my thighs if you will and my behind is a little low! Will this program whip my lower body into shape?

I'm going to add screenshots of my measurement tape markings, too!

I lost about 5 lbs, but look at the measurement tapes. I lost a lot of inches, so I know I gained muscle in place of the fat lost.

So, your friend should look more at body fat %, or inches lost...rather than weight. Toss the scale out the window!!

Go, girls, go!!! GIRL POWER roar. Haha.

Hi,

I am into my 4th week of Insanity. I have lost about 2-3 pounds not more and about 2 inches off my waist. I don't have any pictures and I am not sure if I am getting the results i was expecting.

I have never missed a workout and even though I do not follow excatly the same diet as provided with the DVD set, but I do limit myself to 1500 calories per day (I did indulge a couple of days )

I am a runner so I thought this would be easy for me, but it was INTENSE. I have been working off my butt. Maybe I am expecting too much emoticon
