Finished Power 90 in Sept 2009.Lost 29 pounds.

I'm now going to workout to P90x.I'm hoping I can have some people on the ride this time.my current weight is 150.

Thanks for the post grayfox 77. I just ate my first day breakfast, wow alot more food then I'm use to eatting.I feel sick to my stomach.I will be working out at 1pm when my boy is down for his nap.I need all the luck I can get.

Im So glad you have started P90x, your results with P90 were exciting so i cant begin to imagine what P90x will do for ya emoticon

How have you found your first workout??

Im just doing a flying visit to say hi today, i will be back tomorrow to check on how things are going.

I started my first day today.Lean phase

My first workout was Core Synergistics

I loved the workout,I found it challenging but something I think I can get good at.
The only problem is my kids were crying and wouldn't leave me alone.
I will be trying out different times of the day ,to get it right.My food plan was good today,was hungry at times.

Hi Angela! Just wanted to say good luck to ya on your P90X journey! I started P90X yesterday with my husband, so we are pretty much on the same ride. I havent gotten brave enough to post my before pictures on here yet...I'm too embarrased.

But anyways, maybe we can keep checking with each other through this since we started close to the same time. emoticon

Lacee 727 I glad you stop by. My husband also has started today too; He just doesn't want people to know he's working out. It helps me that we are doing this together so the food plan will work for me. When I was working out To Power 90, I didn't watch my food intake so much. So I'm really happy that with P90X I'm doing down to a tee. I bet you look better in a bikini then I. If you go to my first message board Angela turn around under power 90 you will see the first time I showed my pictures, I was 29 pounds heavier. But after you work hard you will be happy for people to see how far you have come. Keep it up; I’ll be there for you on our journey.

Day 2 Down
Still the same problem my son doesn't want to share me with Tony (P90X).I'm sore for sure today, taking epsom salt baths every night. I did extra stretching today. My weight has been changing in the last two days, weight has been dropping, could be water but my body is reactiving.
This program is tuff to do with having two kids under age 6.They depend on me alot.So I'm changing alot to get this done each day.I'll find a way to keep all happy.

Angela- First of all, it takes A LOT of courage to put your pics on the internet. Not just you, but anybody who is out of shape. But, most people that do this are very serious about changing their life. And, when you reach your goals you will look back at those pics and be amazed you ever allowed yourself to look the way you did. (I am not saying you looked bad. I am speaking for me and everyone else I have talked to on this board)

Second- I am a stay-at-home dad. I have 3 kids (now). When I did my first round of P90x (we had 2 kids and my wife was prego) I did it during my baby's nap, like you are trying to do. My oldest would stay upstairs and watch TV and eat her lunch while I worked out. It is hard. I did feel guilty. But, I know I needed to do it for me, and the family. She would come down and get me if she needed me.

My kids are now 5 1/2 (just started kindergarten, almost 22 months, and 4 months. Now that my oldest is in school and the baby is not on a schedule yet I do my workouts when they are in bed for the night. So, I start my workouts at 8pm.

I am only on the recovery week of Round 2 (because the baby was in the hospital for 23 days when he was born. Then when he was home he needed some care so I couldn't get consistent workouts in.

I am not trying to bore you with the details of my life here. All I am trying to say is, while it can be difficult to do with kids around, and things don't always happen as planned, there is a way to fit it in and take care yourself. Be proud of yourself for making the choice.

By the way, all the sore muscles, gallons of sweat, and hours of working out and I am still only down 13 lbs. I highly recommend you don't weigh yourself daily because it can be frustrating. This program is not designed to lose weight. If you are following the nutrition guide to a tee you might not lose much. It is designed to put on muscle, even in the lean version. The scale can be discouraging at times. You are better off just doing the weight on day 30, 60, and 90, along with updated pics. That's just what I learned in the last 8 months.

Hi Angela,

I just wanted to say good luck and keep pressing play! I too have young children and know the challenges of trying to work out. As the previous poster said, we tend to feel guilty alloting that 1hr for ourselves, but in the end you are giving your child a great gift by being a role model for good health.

Kudos for posting your pictures. I wasn't going to take mine, but after I saw yours, I am inspired to do so.

I am one day behind you, did my first workout yesterday so I will checking in to see your progress!

To start, thanks for your wise words.2nd we only live 3 hours from each other. If I didn't post my pictures for Power 90, I wouldn't have noticed the difference between Days 1-90. My friends noticed my change in weight but when I show them the site with my pictures they keep on saying "I don't remember you being that big. If putting my picture up helps even one person to keep pushing play, then I don't mind baring my body to show how far I have come in such a short time.
Are you also doing the Lean program or the Classic?
If you post your pictures then don't forget to tell me Because it would be inspiring to see someone else going through the changes.

Yes, I agree that most people that put up their pictures is because they are very serious about changing their life., I have already had the chance to look back and feel good about myself for how much I have done with my round Power 90 .I have found a time that works for me, I was feeling a bit guilty for put my kids aside
I agree with not looking at the scale, I’m a person that wants to be strong and healthy for me and my family. I don't care about what the scale says but I do care that the measurement on my waist drops. I want to reduce the chances of getting heart disease or cancer.

Day 3

I felt like I rock it, Shoulders and arm was a good program. I worked all the way through and did the bonus round. Abs ripper X was a different story, man that was not easy...Lol. My legs were still sore, so some of the exercises were killing me because my legs were burning faster then my Abs .Both of my children are in bed, so I worked out in peace and quiet. Now tomorrow is going to be Yoga X, Everyone I know hates it. I am flexible we'll see how I do.

Day 4
The dreaded Yoga X

Since I previously finished Power 90, I was prepared for the power yoga. I have the flexibility; need work on my balance and endurance. I did well until the CRANE. My wrist couldn't handle that. I start becoming tiered after 1 hour. Did do all of it, felt like I brought it on. I like it, even if it's time consuming.

Day 5


Back and Legs
Felt the burn. It my first time to do pull ups. Both feet on the chair, and it still were tuff.
Did it all, need a nap though.
What you do the day before does affect your next day workout. I had lock myself out yesterday from 11:30-3:30.Didn't have my wallet. No lunch yesterday.....Made me weak in the first place and did all 90 mins of Yoga X. Didn't have the energy for today.

Hi Angela

How did Day 6 go for you? I too am feeling like I need a nap after these workouts!

Well...I dusted off that bikini and I took my "before pics" for reference. That was definately humbling!

I felt like I couldn't get my heartbeat in the zone for the first 20 mins Trying to get the punch combinations right (Jab/cross/hook) with it being only three punches I would get confused and felt uneven. The rest was good.

Right on, you wouldn't be sorry for taking your picture in a bikini.I use a Tankini last time; it was hard to see how much I lost in my stomach.

Core synergistics


I was left on the floor afterwards. I did not eat enough today. I had a pumpkin muffin also while the kids and I were out, on our very long day.......I can tell I 'm going to pay for it, Need the energy to get through.
Were is everyone? Tell me that you are still pushing play,don't leave we to face this program alone......Hello out there.emoticon

Day 9

Back to Cario X

This time I worked my butt off.Left the sweat on the floor.My son was napping so It was so much better this time.I find the dreya roll hard my tailbone,i have been doing it without jump to my feet and rolling back(otherwise on the floor) until my tailbone isn't so sore.I think the soreness is from the banana move.

Hope everyone is still pushing play.
