I have read some of the posts here and like the results some of you have gotten doing Insanity. I have finished 1 round of P90X and did another month or so of P90X. Though I had lost about 8 lbs and went down to about 120 from 128 lbs by doing P90X, for someone with my kind of body type (a high percentage of body fat), the workout helped me in gaining some muscle mass but the fat around my midsection hasn't budged much. So doing Insanity sounds like the perfect answer right now.

I also went to Spain a week ago. While traveling, I wasn't on my nutrition plan. I wanted to enjoy the local cuisine. I worked out once in the last two weeks and my weight has cropped up to 124 lbs. That's is about a month and half of workouts and discipline going to hell in about a couple of weeks.

When I started P90X, I wasn't sure if I was able to complete it and what really helped me in keeping up with my workouts and nutrition plan was chronicling my P90X experience daily. So I promise, though today would be a hectic day, I will do the fit test today and I will post my results here later.

WOW, your fit test results seem great. I am suppose to begin Insanity today, well the fit test. I don't think mu numbers will be that high. I am a little apprehensive about this program because of its intensity and a my fit level. I did a bootcamp this summer and the first couple of days i just about puked, but after that, it was hard, but i could get through it. I'm hoping I'll be able to get through this!!

Whoohooo! My husband and I are starting today too. I'll have to post my fit test results (though I'm sure they'll be awful!) once I have time to do it tonight.

Cheers to a healthier you!

Hey Workoutdiva09, you'll do fine! I just came off a long training for a 1/2 marathon (ran it Sunday 10/18) after CEX. I am pretty sure there will be lots of modifications in my workout future!

Good luck with your fit test! Do your best, you will probably surprise yourself!

lolliemonster, congrats on having your husband workout with you. My husband is pretty content sleeping through my workouts and having me comment on them over his first cup of coffee in the morning!

Yes, lucky me emoticon My husband bonked and had to take a cold bath half way through the fit test!

Apparently he thought peanuts, a PB&J sandwich, and sloppy joes was a sufficient amount of calories to work out on emoticon Had I known he wouldn't have even started!!

It sounds like I'm on my own for a couple days, now. Once he sees my rockin' bod though I'm sure he'll jump on the boat!

Here are my results, though:

Switch Kicks: 50 or 100 (do you count every one or per set of two) this number probably won't change much, my kicks were pretty low due to lack of flexibility ;)
Power Jacks= 38
Power Knees= 79
Power Jumps= 40
Globe Jumps= 7
Suicide Jumps= 8
Push Up Jacks= 13
Low Plank Oblique= 47

Workoutdiva09: Do you have a heartrate monitor? It's a great way to make sure you aren't working yourself too hard. If not, make sure you can at least form a word or two when you're puffing, if you can't, you should probably tone it down a bit! It also helps to make sure you're stomach is empty (that's different for every person though) and to eat an even amt of carb/protein something afterwards so you don't feel quite as dead the hours following.

Good luck with tomorrow, everyone!

Good Morning!

Started my day with Plyo Cardio Circuit. Had to modify some and rest occasionally but I made it through.

Lolliemonster, too bad about your husband bonking. Hopefully he will be ready to try again soon.

Hope everyone has a great day,

Patty

Just came across this thread and your profile pic caught my eye. Are you wakesurfing? Do you also board/skate? I have posted on these forums before looking for other wakeboarders doing P90x or any of the BB products. Cool pic! Good luck with Insanity, I am in the first recovery week (week 5) and have been loving it so far!!

I managed to do the fit test but I did it today. I helped a friend move yesterday and it took longer than I thought. So... there won't be no rest days this week for me.

Switch Kicks= 96
Power Jacks= 40
Power Knees= 60
Power Jumps= 32
Globe Jumps= 7
Suicide Jumps= 13
Push Up Jacks= 20
Low Plank Oblique= 32

All in all, the workouts felt difficult towards the beginning and got easier towards the end. I'm doing well with nutrition as well.

Hey Gpak!

Yep, I was wakesurfing. We also wakeboard, wakeskate and windsurf. I am not good at any of them but I enjoy myself! I have done two rounds of P90X, two rounds of CEX and now starting Insanity. Glad to hear you are enjoying Insanity. It is kinda overwhelming so far - but I just started!

Your pic is awesome!

Hi there. This is the first time I have ever posted anything in a forum. I read forums a lot but some people ruin the experience by posting something negative or stupid. I've been reading the Beachbody forums and almost all of the posts are encouraging and motivating, which is why I am going to give this a shot. I need the motivation and the workout partners to keep me going.

I bought Power 90, P90X and Insanity when they first came out but have never finished any of them. I did Insanity for about week when I first got it and then stopped to do something else. Well, I'm not stopping this time!!! I would like to take this journey with you.

Here are my fit test results:

Switch Kicks: 125 (counting each kick...my flexibility isn't great either)
Power Jacks= 55
Power Knees= 92
Power Jumps= 34
Globe Jumps= 5
Suicide Jumps= 11
Push Up Jacks= 19
Low Plank Oblique= 43

My heart rate was up there when I got to the globe jumps. I slowed down quite a bit. Looking forward to tomorrow.

izzy0319 - You got great numbers esp the workouts that require leg strength. Posting about your experience with the workouts keeps you accountable so keep it up. Looking forward to doing Plyo Cardio Circuit today.

Hello! As stated in another post, I read lots of forums but never post... Well, I am going to start now!

I started Insanity on Tue 10/20 and will have to be a day behind everyone else due to the way my schedule works and fitting the workouts in. What time of day does everyone else do their workouts? I have to do mine in the morning (5 am) or else they don't happen. On the rare day I am able to workout later in the day, I am always much stronger or have more endurance since I am awake. However I am sure I will see results either way!

I have been exercising consistently for several years, always mixing up my workouts within the week. I love rotations and I am really looking forward to 60 days of HARD work!

10/20- Fit Test. Results:
1. Switch Kicks (counted each kick) = 100
2. Power Jacks = 43
3. Power Knees = 93
4. Power Jumps = 25
5. Globe Jumps = 10
6. Suicide Jumps = 20
7. Push Up Jacks = 30
8. Low Plank Obliques = 70

10/21- Plyo Cardio Circuit- DONE! I did ok, definitely went at my own pace which allowed me to not take too many "extra" breaks. My legs are now KILLING me.

I will try to add a picture to my profile later this week.

"See you" tomorrow! emoticon

Everyone has some great numbers and they will only get better.

I just finished up day 1, Plyo Cardio Circuit. It was brutal. I tried to keep up but soon realized I had to go at my own pace. My heart rate hit the 170's during the warmup!

Great workout and looking forward to tomorrow.

Plyo Cardio Circuit done. As I mentioned it's been a while since my last workout so today's workout really felt like my first real workout in about 10 days. I couldn't keep up with the video and yeah... like some of you mentioned, I did it at my pace but, nonetheless, it was brutal. I felt like quitting a couple of times but finished it anyway. It kicks butt.

I started the same day as you guys. Finished 1 round of p90x about 2 months ago and got back in a rut again! boo! This Insanity is no joke, almost makes p90x look like a warm up! I didn't know I produced this much sweat! I am loving it so far though, feels good when you are done. Good luck to everyone! Look forward to chatting with you guys throughout our 60days!

10/22 Cardio Power & Resistance- Done.

It was tough to get going because my legs are still reallllly sore. By the end of the warm-up they felt much better, but I knew that after sitting in the car for 45 minutes on my way to work, they would stiffen up again, and they sure did! Looking forward to Cardio Recovery next, then bring on more Insanityemoticon
