READY TO GET FIT AND HEALTHY? The holidays are around the corner and I know we all need the extra motivation these days!

I've completed several rounds of Power 90, Slim in 6, and Slim Series and also had some fun with P90 Master Series, Hip Hop Abs, Turbo Jam and ChaLean Extreme. Right now I’m doing a combination of programs. So regardless of what Beachbody program you are doing, come on in for support, motivation, and fun! We can make this a great journey together!

A little more about myself: My family and I are missionaries in the South Pacific. I love what we do and am so thankful for the opportunities I have in the islands. With the help of Beachbody products, I'm helping the people of our little island get healthy.

I have 4 children and a 5th on the way! My main interest in life is my family! I homeschool my three oldest children and love it!

I'm also a music teacher. I teach private piano and flute and have also started some instrumental groups in the village where we are working. I love the opportunity to be able to teach kids that otherwise would never have a chance to take music lessons! I collect instruments when we are in the States to take back with us and the kids come to our house daily to practice. It's great fun! (A little noisy sometimes, but fun!)

In addition to my family and my music, another passion of mine is fitness and nutrition! This year I completed my nutrition and wellness certification and am loving the knowledge I have gained and am gaining through that. My heart's desire is to help other's live a healthier and happier life!

One of the best ways for me to stay on track with my workouts and eating has been to connect here on the message boards. So feel free to post daily about your ups and downs with your workouts, eating habits, and life in general.

If you are new to Beachbody or to working out, here are some tips to get you started!

NEWBIE CHECKLIST
• Thoroughly read through the booklet that came with your workout program.
• Take before pics and measurements. Believe me, you’ll be glad you did later!
• Clean out your kitchen! Get rid of temptation and stock your fridge and cupboards with
healthy alternatives. Check Michi’s Ladder (should have come with your DVDs) for ideas
of what to eat.
• Plan all your meals for at least the first week. This will really take off the
pressure. Better yet, join the MDB Club if you haven’t already and use the meal plans
there!
• Increase your water intake. Make sure you’re getting 9 or more glasses of water a day!
• Sign up to WOWY, Beachbody’s online gym. Remember to log in before each workout.
• Contact your coach to help you stay motivated and keep you accountable.

Ok, I got my workout done, a little later in the day than planned, but I got it done. I didn't do a DVD but used a combination of moves from Slim in 6 and Power 90. This seems to be working best for me as my pregnancy progresses, with all the modifications I have to make.

Hello! It's been a busy morning with homeschooling around here at our house. Will be working out before lunch today (at least that is the plan). I had wanted to go to the track to walk this morning but it was pouring rain so that was out for today. Will be back later to report on the workout.

Hi! I was never able to get back on to report on my workout yesterday as I lost internet connection. One of the "joys" of living in the jungle in the South Pacific! But back online today and happy to say I had a great workout yesterday. Today is a rest day for me. With the pregnancy I am only working out 4-5 times per week rather than 6. I really felt like I needed a rest day today anyway as I am really tired today and my back has been hurting. Baby is growing like crazy!

Hi! Have had trouble getting an internet connection today. Have been having a good but very busy day. Today is resistance work for my workout and I'll probably use the balance ball as well.

Wow! The echo in here is getting louder! Someone needs to jump in here and join me.

Have had a busy but productive weekend. I can't believe it's November! I LOVE the holidays and am thoroughly looking forward to them this year. But I know it's also a time when it's so easy to fall of the wagon with working out and eating right. Perfect time to band together and motivate each other through the season.

Good morning! Yesterday's "workout" was a nice brisk walk at the track. I only walked a mile but at least it was some exercise. Today is some light resistance training and we'll see what else I get inspired to do.

I have a lot of problems with my left leg during pregnancy. Don't know why only the left but am thankful it's not both! So walking and all gets more and more difficult as the pregnancy progresses. My dr. has never been able to give me a solution other than taking pain killers, which I really don't like to do during pregnancy anyway, so I just have to try to live with it for the 9 months. Thankfully I only have 4 more to go!

This is my favorite time of year and hope that everyone is enjoying the holiday season! Have a great day!

Hello! Having a great day on this side of the world! Internet connection has been horrible lately so right now I'm spending some time at the Village Hotel where there is free wi-fi and getting a much better connection. Also enjoying a treat today - having some ice cream.

I had a nice 20 minute workout today and am feeling pretty good at the moment.

Looking forward to Thanksgiving! Can't believe it's just around the corner already! Have to start looking for a turkey - not always an easy thing to find on our island. Of course, Thanksgiving isn't even a holiday here but we celebrate it at our home and all of my husband's family enjoys coming over for turkey.

BTW, anyone out there doing Rev Abs? Been thinking about ordering it for my hubby and then maybe giving it a shot at some point after having the baby. Just curious on how other's are liking it.

Thanks so much for your posts, these have been wonderful and encouraging and these message boards might be just the thing I'm looking for!

I'm new to the site, but I'm not new to the desire for a healthy lifestyle!

I haven't started this program yet, but I am preparing for an official downbeat on 11/16 (I haven't had the extra money for the Power 90 DVDs yet).

I am so excited to start! I love to cook and I have been meal planning and carving out a new schedule so I can jump right into the work outs.

Some info about me: I'm 22, I live with a good friend from college, I am currently working full time and I'm back in school part time for an Audio Production associates degree. I also love music, I went to college for Music Composition for awhile and occasionally I lead worship at my church.

Thanks so much for your support and encouragement to everyone here.

Hi, Caitlin! I'm so glad that you posted! It's great to meet you! So what workouts are you planning on doing? Whatever program you do from Beachbody, I know you're gonna love the results you get!
That's so cool that you're into music too! My two passions in life, besides my family - music and health!

I haven't worked out yet today but light weights is on the agenda. Heading there in just a bit. Been a busy day but a good one. Actually, this whole week has been good for me, as I've felt pretty good! Baby is growing like crazy and I'm starting to feel it kick more often so the whole "reality" thing of another kid on the way has clicked finally. I must say that I am really missing my morning running. I wonder how long after I have the baby that I will be able to get back onto a running schedule.

Well, heading off as I need to get the workout in, a shower and last minute preps for afternoon music classes. Talk to you later.

Hi! Workout done for the day! Woohoo! I managed to get it in this morning before all the piano lessons. It was kinda short and I might still do a little more this afternoon. I've been feeling nauseous again today and some yesterday. thought that was over. I'm thinking it might have just been set off by something I ate. Who knows!

Getting ready to go cook a pumpkin and roast some seeds! I wish I could get the American type of pumpkin here but the ones that grow here are still really good - just really ugly!

Good morning! I haven't been able to get on here in a few days. Yesterday was a really rough day. My pregnancy nausea and vomiting came back to haunt me. Thought that was over! Anyway, was just too weak and tired after all the throwing up to get in any kind of a workout yesterday. Hopefully today will be better. So far I feel ok this morning.

Hi! This has been a bad week for working out for me! I've gotten in very little. I had my dr. checkup today and she put me back on medication for the vomitting. It seems like if I eat, I get sick!

My husband started a new rotation of P90X this week! So far it's going really well but he's pretty sore. It's been several months since he had done X workouts so he had gotten a little out of shape.

Hoping I get to feeling better, by like, this afternoon! I'm having a Beachbody Home Fitness Party at my house Saturday and need to get things ready for that. Looking forward to a fun time of introducing the Beachbody way of life to some friends and new aquaintances.

Good morning! Busy day today for me with the fitness party this afternoon, plus piano students coming this morning and then I play piano for Christmas program practice this evening. I'm still not feeling well but trying to ignore that! Workouts have not been happening the last few days with the way I've been feeling but have been doing the best I can to eat well. I did walk some yesterday but really just felt more like going to bed.

Hello
I am a 60 year old female who has just lost 20 pounds and am working hard to get under the 200 mark and on down to get myself heathy. Am wondering if it is possible to get this done and remain there. Would love to get off meds and not be ashamed of myself. I have never stayed the same. YO YO Yoing.
Someone invied me into a holiday 6 week challenge that starts tomarrow. Since things were going well for me I signed up and got the Kathy Smith type two. I just do not think that I will be able to complete a whole session. I will keep going because I am so sick of this.
It is ironic that you are in the south pacfic as that is my fantasy. To be fit on vacation in an over the water bungalow in Tahiti.
thanks for being there. This site scares me because I see so many thin people here. I know that it is not about thin but health but I wonder if I am in the right spot being old and fat.

Hey susan! I've been trying to sign in for several days now. College server blocks almost everything...emoticon I started Slim in 6 this week. Did one day of Start it up and moved right into Ramp it up. It's going well. I love Ramp it Up. Hopefully, I can move to Burn it up without flopping.
I will be checking in regularly from now on.

Jackie, I KNOW you can do this! That's awesome that you're getting started and that's the first big step there. Project You: Type 2 is an excellent program and great for starting out. I haven't been able to workout today as I am having alot of cramping and back pain. Will probably have to go get this checked out. Don't want to hurt the baby. Am sure hoping everything is ok.
