Hi everyone, my name is Monique. I'm starting Chalean Extreme on Saturday 10/31/2009, so excited might I add! I would like all those that are starting Chalean or already doing the program do join me on this most awesome fitness journey.

I'm going to list my measurements here before Halloween and continue to post them every 30 days, I'll also post my before and after pics as well.

I hope someone will join soon!

Great! I will post here when I get the program. I ordered it yesterday so I am hoping by Monday or Tuesday. Good luck starting up tomorrow. I will be interested to hear how you like it. I have enjoyed the Turbo Jam and various Turbo dvds (sculpt, fat blaster, turbo tube), so I am interested how the extreme works.

Great! Burn Circuit 1 was awesome, I have an off day tomorrow so I think I'm going to do Turbo Jam or some type of cardio. I hope you get yours soon so you can start asap. We're going to be hot in 90 days!

So how did today go? I am still waiting for my DVDS. In the meantime,I did a Karen Voight step cardio/circuit tape. Trying to keep what weight training, I have done going and keep up with my cardio. It is a cardio day tomorrow.

Sorry I didn't respond sooner, I had to put together a little birthday get together for my nephew. My workout was awesome yesterday, I just go through today's workout Burn intervals and Ab Burner which was awesome as well. Hopefully your DVDs will get there today so you can get started. You're going to love 'em!

Mine came yesterday so I did my first Burn Circuit this morning. I also did a 20 minute Turbo Jam afterwards. I am not sure if I am using enough weight but I am starting to feel my arms a bit more tonight. I might need more weight for my legs but I will see after this week. I liked it although I have had a less than perfect eating day. I think tomorrow is an off day but I am planning to do a Turbo Jam cardio. I have to work up on plank pushups. I can only do 5 and then the rest from my knees.

hope the birthday party went well.

Hey Vic! I'm glad you enjoyed it! When I did Burn Circuit the first day it was a great day I felt like I was missing sommething, it was my cardio. I did TJ Fat Blaster the first the day to get my fix. My first week is complete and I ABSOLUTELY love this program! I can't wait to see what we'll look like after 90 days. Hope yu have a great workout tommorow!

Hello!

My name is Stephanie, I am 24 year old German studednt from Alberta, Canada. I have just started Chalene Xtreme at the beginning of this month In fact, I am suffering at this very moment from sore forearms from Burn Circuit 2 yesterday....however, I really like the workout so far! Is anyone else noticing any forearm pain or pain in their hands?
Do you also do Turbo Jam as well? I have been doing that for about 2 years now at home...but it got to be pretty routine, so I had to change it up a bit. Any new, really effective cardio workouts that you could recommend?

I still have to post a picture, will probably get around to that...

Hi Stephanie! How are you?!

My first week down and I loved it! I didn't feel in pain in my forearm or hands but I did in my upper arms, hamstrings and calves. It was a good pain though not excrutiating or anything like that, lol! I have been throwing in Turbo Jam into the mix when I need a cardio fix and sometimes Jillian Michaels Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism. There great both cardio workouts, hope that helps!

Count me in!!! I started on Thursday, November 5th and I already LOVE this program!! I also love Turbo Jam and love Chalene's energy and happiness!

I am pretty happy with my current weight and measurements, but if I lose an inch or 2 here and there I will also be happy! Here's what I measured:

Age: 32 (with 2 children, ages 2 and 4!!)
Height: 5' 3"
Weight: 128.6 pounds (I know very precise...weighed in this morning at Weight Watchers...I'm a lifetime member for close to 2 years now!)
Waist: 29"
Hips: 39.25"
Arms: 10.5" each
Thighs: 22" each
Chest: 34"
Pants Size: 4 or 6
Shirt size: Small

My goal is to get more cut and have more definition in my muscles mainly. I want to look more cut for next summer without bulking up and looking manly!

I love it that these workouts are so short! I also used to do Slim Series, which I love too, but the shortest workout is an hour! With the 2 kids and being a teacher, this program is much easier to fit into my schedule. I have it set up so I do the longest workouts on Saturdays and Sundays.

My muscles shook after each workout so far. I did Burn 1 on Thursday and was shaking! I did Burn 2 today and was also shaking! I love it though! When I pick up 10-pound weights I can't even believe it!! I love the "GET EXTREME!" part too and it is short and before you know it, it's over. I love how this program focuses on form and how much I feel each rep!

I also follow Weight Watchers maintenance for eating. I have been doing this for 2 years (I had joined 4 days after giving birth to my younger son!). The program allows you to eat more on days you workout, which is what I always do (it works for me!). I also balance my diet well with fruits, vegetables, lowfat dairy, lean protein, and whole grains. My children even eat 100% whole wheat pasta and they love it!

Do you have the deluxe program or the regular one? I have the regular one. It's what I was able to afford, but maybe in the future after a couple of rounds I can add on to my collection. I usually purchase a new program from Beachbody every year or so. It has been a year and a half and was overdue for me! So far I have the original Power 90, Slim in 6, Slim Series, the original Turbo Jam (not the deluxe), extra Turbo Jam workouts, Slim Series Express, Rockin' Body and of course....ChaLEAN Extreme! Never did P90X...the pull-ups intimidate me!

Hi Bonnie, I'm glad you joined us!

I actually go the deluxe version of Chalean Extreme. I've watched all the videos but haven't really done the videos yet (except for fat-burn challenge), I'm really trying to follow the schedule before I start switching things ups. I did do the Fat-Burn Challenge from the deluxe dvd before I actually started the program, just to see what it was about.

I'm trying to lose 15 pounds and tone up myself. I'm 5'2" and 125 punds right now. I'd really love to get down to 110-115 pounds by birthday which is in March, so I've been throwing in some Turbo Jam on my weight training days. I can't wait to see what we all look like after 90 days and beyond!

Hi all,
I did the Burn Circuit 2 today and the 20 minute Turbo jam (can't miss my cardio). I am not sure if I need heavier weights or not. The highest I have is 12 lbs. I have been doing the Turbo sculpt and a Crunch sculpt since July. I was using 8 lb weights. Will see how I finish this week. I am to lazy to get my book out with all of my stats but I can give you some key ones (or the ones I remember).

Age 49
Weight 159
Height 5' 8"
Chest 35
Waist 30
Hips 40

I want to get to 145. I started in May at 184 and promised myself for the last 15 I would get the Chalean extreme. My sister introduced me to Turbo Jam this summer. I use several other DVDs (Karen Voight and Gin Miller) because I like step aerobics for a cardio alternative.

I am a working mom and have two kids in grade school.
So that all to tell. Looking forward to the next three months.

Burn interval and abs were the workouts for today. I really liked the Burn interval. I feel more muscle fatigue today than from yesterday. I am using 12 lb weights for most of the exercises and am debating whether to move to 15. I am going to see how Burn 3 goes tomorrow and probably do one more week at the 12 lb level.

Hi Bonnie, that is great that you have been maintaining on WW for 2 years. Hopefully once I hit my goal, I will do better at maintaining. I am currently using Calorie king. I have done WW online and it is a good program.

Oh Stephanie, if you have forearm pain, it might be that you are gripping your weight too tight. During one of the Burns, Chalean talked about not gripping too tight because you would end up with feeling it in your forearms. I know my hands sometimes hurt if I have gripped too tight (who can help it in some of the last reps).

Oh I forgot one other stat - current body fat % it is 23.4% My goal is around 18%. Will see how that goes.

I did Burn Intervals and Ab Burner today...holy cow!! I loved both!

Yesterday after Burn Circuit 2 I needed to do Recharge. I loved that. My muscles were so fatigued and were shaking (I don't like that feeling, but I guess I will get used to it), and Recharge really helped.

Anyway, today I feel it in my upper back from doing Burn 2 yesterday, but it's in a good way! Tomorrow is Burn 3 and Tuesday will be Burn it off and Recharge. Wednesday is a welcomed rest day but I might do Recharge again, or Cool it off Express from Slim Series Express (a 30-minute stretch and relaxation routine that feels oh so good!).

Before starting this program, I was having some trouble with a little tendinitis in my left shoulder. I stopped doing shoulder weight-lifting exercises and it still didn't help. My doctor told me to try doing some shoulder exercises again and see how it feels. He thought that maybe if I gave the tendon more support again with the muscle, it would help. Well, I am very happy to report no shoulder discomfort since starting this program! I think that focusing more on the form rather than doing as many reps as possible is just what I needed to do for my shoulder. Sometimes when doing high reps I am more focused on how many I did, as opposed to how I was actually performing the exercise.

I feel very empowered after lifting heavier weights. And I'm not even talking as heavy as Chalene does...I'm just talking about lifting 10-pound weights for the first time EVER!!!

Another late contributer wants to join the thread! I started on Halloween, just didn't find y'all on the forums until today!!!

I'm on round 2 of Chalean Extreme, just did Burn Circuit 2 for the 2nd time this morning. :-) I'm trying to recover all the muscle I lost while sick with pneumonia for the last 2 months (after I finished Round 1 with fabulous results). Also, I'm 4 pounds from goal weight, which someday I'd like to see the back of!emoticon

I mix up the weight training with running, which I do 3x/week (Tue, Thur & Sat), with Sunday as a rest day.
