chalean extreme weight loss before and after holiday season

Hey guys! I started Chalean Extreme on Thursday November 12th! I want to look HOT for New Years and avoid all of the diet/exercise pitfalls through the holidays! emoticon

I've already lost over 45 pounds with Beachbody products and now I'm going to take off the last 20 or so with Chalean Extreme! Check out my before and after pictures and join me on this journey!

Let's make this the year that we SKIP all of the junk at holiday parties, lose weight, and tone up throughout the holidays. Here's to starting off 2010 right!!!

A little bit of my back story!

I started out with Slim in 6 from Dec 2007-Feb 2008. I had great results but life got messy and I gave up on my fitness goals after I finished the program. By January of 2009, I was back to my highest weight ever, 230 pounds. I'm 5'9. I knew that something had to change!

After New Years 2009 I started eating better and making small changes in my diet. I slowly started adding in some Slim in 6 and Slim Series workouts but nothing consistent. In July of 2009 I decided to make a real commitment and do a program. After some consideration, I decided on Power 90. I did 60 days of it and had great results. I started to miss Debbie at that point so I switched to a Slim Series rotation. For the past month or two I've been doing Slim Series and Hip Hop Abs with a little bit of jogging/walking thrown into the mix.

Ahhhh, I typed out a long message and the computer ATE IT!! Not my favorite!

I was talking about how much I LOVE LOVE LOVE Chalean Extreme so far and can really tell it's going to give me awesome results. Today is Burn Circuit 2 and I'm super excited. I love the set, the sexy silver dumbbells they have (where do you get those lol), and Chalene's energy!

I'm working on keeping my diet super clean 6 days a week. I allow myself 1 cheat day a week (try to only do a cheat meal but sometimes life happens). I also do 1 cheat snack. Other than that I try to stick to my own personal clean eating guidelines. I mostly do the top 3 tiers of Michi's Ladder plus a couple of extras (1 oz of half and half per day, a little bit of raw sugar, and a couple of brands of granola bars).

I just finished Burn Circuit 2 and boy was it a workout!!! My arms and legs are shakey. I was sweating enough my glasses were slipping around on my face, lol. I LOVE this program so far! I already feel like I'm getting stronger and leaner!

I'm previewing Burn Intervals and I'm a little scared, lol. I haven't done pure cardio in awhile so those little sets of cardio might be a little rough! I'm really used to high reps low weights so I think I'll be ok with those (Debbie!). The boxing looks fun!

My diet has been super clean this week. I have a feeling I'm going to be in the 170's soon. I haven't been under 180 pounds since I was a sophomore in high school. Maybe once when I was a junior but not for more than a week! I am SOOOOO excited!

Me today before my workout! Today was Burn Intervals and Ab Burner! The cardio was a little rough in a couple of spots but I feel soooo good now! I can feel the endorphins working and I just feel relaxed and happy!

I might do Slim and Limber or just some stretching tonight. My muscles feel a little tight!!

I just pushed play with Slim & Limber and Burn Circuit 3. I am sore! I think I could have done a little heavier weights if I wasn't so sore but hey, you have to work with what you've got.

I liked all the squats for some reason. I never really liked them before but I think that slower with heavy weights makes them more enjoyable for me? Probably because I don't have to do as many, lol!

I've got a lot to do today so it's time for this girl to make a protein shake and get moving!

I hope someone joins me soon, lol!

Mel--Yay! A new human! Congrats on starting your second round! That must feel amazing. How great do you feel? How were your results! Welcome to the thread!!!

I think that stretching earlier helped a little! I'm already feeling less stiff and sore. Thank goodness!

I'm about to head off to work. I have to find something to pack for dinner. Yikes! Tonight is holiday setup (I work at Starbucks) and that should be exciting.

I would love to join your thread if you'll have me. Congratulations on your success thus far! You look so great emoticonMy name is Mo and I'm also just starting CLX. I have always done TJ workouts and was successful with SI6. I have not purchased Debbie's Slim Series, but I plan to one day. Debbie really works the thighs and hips for sure which are my problem areas.

Mo-- Welcome to the thread. I always thought Turbo Jam looked like a blast. There's a bonus TJ video on one of my Chalean Discs that I"m going to try soon on a rest day! Under 200 for 2010 is a great goal! I think with CEX you can totally get there!

Ok...enough yapping. I have got to get my workout on RIGHT NOW. I've been answering a bunch of coaching emails and doing coaching stuff all night but now it's time to work on my fitness!!! It's time to get EXTREME.

Ekk. I don't even know what video I'm doing. I think Burn it Off and Recharge??? Gotta double check that calendar too, lol

Ok, I just finished Burn It Off! and Recharge.

Burn It Off was tough. I need to work on my cardio endurance. I know I could have rocked that during basketball season in high school. What I love is how athletic all of the moves are! No pretending we aren't working out here! This is real. I have a strong sports background from high school and I love stuff like that!

I loved Recharge. I was a little scared because in teh past I've hated yoga and stretching videos but the pace was fast enough and she talked a lot so I didn't even mind at all. Before I knew it I looked up and the time was up. I felt super relaxed. I will definitely add this in an extra day next week. My muscles loved the stretch.

Ok...now my muscles and brain need to get to bed! It's been the longest day and I'm not really caught up but I'm close enough.

Hi Cassie,

You look great. Kudos for sticking to it and losing so much weight and inches.

I just started getting back to exercising after a car accident and so I'm taking it slow, but I'm really hoping that Chalean is going to help me lose this extra 15 pounds I've gained.

I'm going to take pictures next week, when someone can take them for me. I know they will hope to motivate me. Did they help you?

Tracey--Pictures have been really motivating for me! It's great to know that I'm never going back there again (and to see how far I have come!!). I think it's good to keep your before pictures close by so you can see where too many bad choices will take you.

Yesterday was Burn 1 again. I had a great workout and think I did a MUCH better job of choosing weights. Today was another scheduled rest day. I meant to do something but um, it just didn't work out! I really want to do extra cardio on the first rest day but when the calendar says to rest, it's hard to get the motivation to work out anyways.

Um...the internet ate my post!

Anyways, I was supposed to do Burn Intervals and Ab Burner tonight but I had a little too much wine earlier and didn't know if I could handle Burn Intervals. Instead I did the bonus Turbo Jam workout (Fat Blaster or something?) and LOVED IT! I still did the abs.

Now I definitely will add some of the advanced Turbos to my wish list, lol. Maybe when she comes out with the new Turbo Fire or Hustle or whatever? I think it's a great fun way to get in cardio and would be good to have around for variety! I will definitely be using this one sometimes!

Kathy--I love Chalean! I am always shakey when done, lol. Sometimes I get worried about it but I think it's normal, right? I love the drenched in sweat, muscles shaking kind of thing that happens after my workout. I also like the natural little high that comes after doing Burn Intervals.

I'm getting ready to PP right now to Burn Circuit 3. Go heavy or go HOME! Um...Chalean, I already am at home. That's all! But I do intend to go heavy!!!

Hi there,

I took a small break because I was feeling tension in my knees. I chose to listen to my body before tearing something. I realize I needed a mirror to look at my form and that has helped tremendously. Tomorrow is Burn it off for me. So far I think the Burn Intervals/Ab burner workout is my toughest day.

How things going for you? What weights are you using or are you using the bands? I sure wish I could afford the select tech weights now. They are definitely worth the investment.

I hope you enjoyed your Thanksgiving!

Wow...the buttons changed! I like this Quick Reply business!

Mo--I always workout in front of the mirror and it helps a LOT with the form. Sometimes I catch and unflattering glimpse though and try to ignore, lol. Gravity can be cruel. The Burn Intervals/Ab burner is definitely my toughest day!!

I use weights. I run between 8 pounds to 17.5 pounds depending on the exercise. By the time I'm done with the Burn Phase I want to get rid of the 8's, lol. I know I'll need some 20's and maybe 25's for Push. Expensive but necessary!

I had a great Thanksgiving! I saw lots of family and friends. I did pretty well with the food, went in with a game plan, but I forgot to plan for exercise. Duh! I missed a couple of workouts.

I made a commitment to myself not to miss any workouts with Chalean so I'm making them up by skipping a rest day and I did 2 days worth today! I did Burn 2 and Burn Intervals/Ab Burner. Let me tell you it was NOT fun. This is extra motivation NOT to skip workouts!!
