I'm completing my 3rd round of the X and have had X results. I'm now ready to bring it (or should I say dig deeper) with Insanity. I just received Insanity yesterday and watched several of the workouts. WoW!! Looks, well, insane. I'd like to start a daily accountability group to keep us all going.

Let's do this thing!!

Hey Matdad!

Welcome to Insanity. Saw your post over on the P90X thread. After three rounds of the X, I'm sure you'll enjoy going Insane! I am just wrapping up my 4th week of Insanity. It's crazy intense. Just keep focused on the workouts. Don't stare at the timer to see when the next break is. Just focus on one of the people in the video and try to keep up with them. Keep your mind distracted from the intensity of the workout, and you will do just fine. Just like with P90X, the first few times through, it won't always be pretty or perfect. Just like Tony says...Do your best and forget the rest. You can still BRING IT and be INSANE at the same time!

Getting excited/nervous/scared/petrified yet??? Best of luck for day 1 on Monday. The fit test, in and of itself, is a good workout. Get ready to BRING IT!!!

Matdad - I'll be starting tomorrow too! I'll join ya here. I also wear a HR monitor. I did 3 to 4 weeks of Insanity when it first came out and then got REAL lazy and put on some weight. I'll be posting fit test results tomorrow after I'm done.

Great test results to begin with. It's amazing how they'll improve in two weeks when you do it again. PURE CARDIO is a KILLER!!! I think of the workouts I did, it was by far the most intense. Be curious to read what you thought of the various workouts in the weeks to come. The most calories I burned when doing Plyo was 985 or something like that.

Just found your post. I am starting round two of Insanity tomorrow so I will join you in your quest. I have a leg up having completed the program but I hope my knowledge will help you. This is by far the toughest workout program created to date. I am in great shape (or thought so before Insanity) and was amazed at how farther you can push yourself. This program is not for the beginner. Although Shaun says "Go at your own pace", do not stop in between exercises if possible. This will keep you strong for the MAX workouts. You have come far in your health and fitness and I applaud your efforts. I myself did 4 rounds of P90X and X+ & found Tony a great trainer. Now, you will find that Shaun T is the best when it comes to cardio fitness. Cardio X is close and Plyo X is close too but Insanity blows it away. You will feel like kicking the screen for how hard he pushes you but it is so worth it. I can see I don't have to tell you not to quit but this program, as I have said, is going to push you to your limits - but don't stop. Do not modify and take days off. Take each day in stride and workout like there is no tomorrow. Good luck. Your Fit Test results were great. Here are mine at Start and Final Test.

Fit Test 1 results: 104, 50, 85, 27, 9, 16, 30, 48
Fit Test 5 results: 125, 64, 130, 70, 12, 25, 41, 65

I am very happy with my fitness improvements and would like to go even farther.

Best wishes on your first week of Insanity. I'm off for the week to visit my family in Hawaii for Thanksgiving. The first week of Insanity will be brutal. Just keep pushing play. With all the rounds of P90X you've done thus far, I know you are going to rock Insanity. Best of luck to you, brother!

I just started today as well. Hope you don't mind me joining in. I just completed one round of P90X and took all of last week off. Here are my Fit Test results...

Fit Test

Switch kicks: 106
Power Jacks: 46
Power Knees: 83
Power Jumps: 24
Globe Jumps: 8
Suicide Jumps: 17
Push-up Jacks: 20
Low Plank Oblique: 45

Also does anyone know of a recovery drink or some type of supplement drink that doesn't have as many carbs in it? I understand carbs are imprtant, but a couple of years ago I lost 45 lbs just doing the Atkins diet plan and have grown accustomed to eating very few carbs.

Hi! I just started "Insanity" on Saturday, so I hope that I can join you. I completed one round of P90X last winter. During the summer, I went to Gold's Gym, but I find myself waffling (is that the right word?) and not really getting any results. I decided to buy Insanity. After three workouts, I am quite discouraged, and wondering if I am going to wind up wasting my money. It seems totally impossible (and I'm not a novice exerciser!)

Well, I thought I would join you and see if support helps me to "hang in there".

Welcome, great to have you!!
The GNC product I use for my afternoon snack claims to be for recovery and protein. It doesn't have too many carbs. Check it out on my food diary.
But I do want to point out that when you lost your weight doing Atkins you probably weren't doing anything close to Insanity. I waited until my 3rd round of P90X before I "trusted" what everyone (and the guide) was saying about increasing your carbs. When I did, I found I could bring it even harder and the weight continued to drop.

Welcome!! I feel your pain, it's as tough as all the hype. I do know that our bodies are pretty resilient and can do more that our minds want to let it do sometimes. All we got to do is show up and take each 60 seconds like it's the last. Keep logging on and we'll all do this together. About the pictures, yeah, you save them as an attachment. You might want to make sure they are .jpg and also compress them.

Day 3 accountability-
Workout: Cardio Power & Resistance
Calories burned: 578

I really hope the "This is the toughest workout I've ever done!!" sequence is going to end soon. I gotta feeling it's not though. I "felt" the effect of the workout yesterday until lunch. It was kind of a dazed feeling for about 3 hours.

Have great workouts today everyone!! Only 2 days until Turkey Day!!
