P90X Vegetable Portion Info? YUCK..
So I'm looking at the P90X Nutrition guide, at Phase 1 of Fat shredder, the Portion plan.
The Vegetable section says:

Each Serving = 50 calories
Then
1 Cup = cooked vegetables
vegetable juice, or vegetable soup
2 cups = leafy greens

Then we have the big list of vegetables, right?

Well I'm confused.. Like whats One Serving, I'm supposed to have 4 servings.

do I choose four vegetables and have 1 cup of each steamed? Like Idk, Help?
Ex ( Broccoli, Carrots, Squash, tomatoes,)

HELP?

Someone Answer, Please?

If you're supposed to have 4 servings, that'd be 4 cups of cooked veggies or 8 raw of any combo of veggies on the list. Of course, you can also have a combo of raw and cooked. I'm sure you can do the math on that.

If6was9 is going to jump on this, so I'm going to avoid the word "lean." emoticon

Broadly speaking, there are two ways to build muscle. You can focus on bulking them or toning them. If you lift heavy so that you fail at 8-10 reps, you'll bulk muscles. If you lift to failure at 12-15 reps, you'll still build muscle, but it won't be as big, it'll just be toned, which some people refer to as "lean muscle."

In case you're interested, anything less that 8 reps focuses more on power. Anything more than 15 starts to become aerobic.

Alright, so what you're saying is as I move on with p90x, As my weights begin to get Lighter, I should move on to harder weights, I suppose that's right?

And Is bulk Being Fat-Musculare?

And Lean being Like Tony Horton Muscular? Lmao.

Okay, I lied earlier, I will jump in.

I assume when you say weights begin to get lighter, you mean begin to feel lighter? Yes, in weight lifting, progressive resistance is the key, so you should always be trying to slowly increase the amount of weight you use.

In terms of the bulk and lean thing. There's no such thing as fat muscle. Muscle is muscle and fat is fat. Muscle is lean living tissue, and has no fat.

The way the terms bulk and lean are used around here, basically bulk means you're trying to build large muscles, where as "lean" means muscular, but not large muscles.

You said, "And Lean being Like Tony Horton Muscular?" I think this applies more to the acutal meaning of the term "lean", as in low body fat. If you want to look like Tony Horton, don't go for the "lean" (12-15 reps) look. You want to bulk up, and have low body fat (strict diet). Tony always tops out at 8 reps in videos.

And to BBadvicestaff, in reference to my comments in the other thread. I think this thread is a good example of what I was talking about regarding people getting the wrong impression of how the terms bulk and lean are used in the videos.

I think that "Lmao" implies Steam was joking about the fat comment.
