Oatmeal only diet?
Oatmeal only diet?
11/21/09 10:04 AM
Hey guys, just dropping by real quick because I am in a hurry.
So I started with Insanity programm and decided to do a diet and since I am a terrible cook (just moved out from parents) I decided to try out Oatmeal. Well it is really tasty and I like it. I mix it with water and usually eat around 300g per day
Otherwise I am taking 70g of Whey Protein during hard training days and 35g during "rest" days.
I am 5.7" and weighting 72kg with 12% bodyfat
My aim is to get as ripped as possible during the 60 days.
Any advice? I feel like I could keep up the diet all the time even if I feel the need for a good kebap, beer and snickers emoticon
Currently I am giving me a bonus eating chickenbreast with noodles once or twice a week
I am feeling great and I am ready to BRING IT!
Attached an upper body picture of me on day1 so you can judge.

Er oatmeal tastes great, but that is probably way more carbs than you need, which are likely to get stored as excess fat and mess with your energy storages. Plus 70g is enough protein to build up muscle, try to get your weight in grams of protein.

Well other than oatmeal I have no idea which food could have less carbs but yeah I am ready to go lower on carbs.
My oatmeal has 57g carbs per 100g.... 171g per day... WOW you are right... this isn´t good.
So is a low carb diet better for me?
Also I don´t take the 70g of protein at once but I take a 35g shake directly after the training and the other 35g before going to sleep.

Cheers for your help z90xhcc

Heyyy wait, i thought you meant the 300g were all carbs, 171g isn't that bad per day.
However, eating nothing but oatmeal and protein shakes isn't really a well balanced diet, there are no fats in there, no veggies, no fruits, etc, you should try to mix some more foods into there. That doesn't mean you should go low carb.
I think 171g of carbs is too many if you are only getting 70g of protein though, although I don't know the insanity diet. Plus I'm sure there is protein in the oatmeal and soem of the carbs are fiber.
And what I meant is you should get our weight (in pounds, sorry) in grams, 70 unless you weigh 70 pounds 70g of protein isn't enough, although like i said idk the insanity diet.
er but what i would focus on is balancing out your diet.
