Just so you all know a bit about Team Inertia. I'm a 41 year old Army Aviator who's most recent home is the North Shore of Oahu. The love of my life Lesley and I have lived here for over 6 years. I'm a P90X and Insanity veteran and have completed 4 rounds of the X plus one full round of Insanity. I'm currently finishing a hybrid routine of the two.

Lesley is 37, has completed one round of Chalene Extreme and is just beginning her first round of Turbo Fire. She joined me as a coach in 2010.

Beachbody has made such a difference in our lives we've shared it with friends and eventually became Coaches to pay forward the gift of fitness to anyone who wants to experience it.

Below are my 90 day results from my first round (If I look happy with the results...I was!) Also attached is a pic of Lesley and I loving our blessed life on Oahu.

Very nice results. I myself am about to start the P90X program in the next week or two, i lurk around the message boards and read peoples stories to give me inspiration. I just know i am going to have problems eating correctly...sometimes bad stuff tastes too good!!! But its just good to know that there are people like you around here who can offer advice, provide support and just generally be there for everyone.

Thanks!!

Steve

Paul, fantastic results! If you don't mind my asking, what were your beginning stats? How strictly did you keep with the nutrition guide and were you doing any extra workouts as well? All of that in 90 days - amazing! Thanks for your service as well.

99 Stevo: Welcome! Great to hear you're starting up on the X. It'll change your life. The diet is tough, but after the first couple of weeks, when your metabolism kicks in and your body gets used to healthy food, it'll get easier and easier to stick with it. The key to me was getting rid of everything out of the house that wasn't on the diet and not skipping any meals. It takes 21 days to build a habit. Stick with it to there and you'll be on your way to being superfit. Like my buddy Mike French said, Pushing play for the one hour a day is easy. It's properly managing your diet for the other 23 hours of the day that really make the difference in the program! Abs are made in the kitchen...not the gym.
We're starting new rounds of Insanity and P90X here in Afghanistan on the New Year. Hit up the board any time for advice or encouragement...BRING IT!

ELIROCKS Thanks for the note. It was a great result for my first 90 days.
STATS: My beginning stats were 165 pounds, 16% bodyfat, 33" waist. As an Army Officer I was still fairly fit. I could still run sub 14 two milers and do lots of pushups, but my overall fitness wasn't where it needed to be. My diet was way off.
My ending stats for the first round were 145 pounds, 10% bodyfat and a 30" waist. My flexibility improved significantly due to the yoga and no more body pains playing impact sports. This thing was the fountain of Youth for me and truly changed my lifestyle.
DIET: The diet is absolutely key. I stuck very strictly to the diet. I used a combination of the blocks/portions approach and built in a few of the recipes. I built an Excel diet tracker that I hung on the fridge for my wife and I to use. It really kept me on track. I can send it to you if you message me with an email if you'd like.
EXTRA WORKOUTS: During Phases 2 and 3 I did a 3-4 mile run 3 times a week for the extra cardio (my job kinda required it ;-) I did, however, build it in on the days programmed for Cardio X on the doubles program.
Wish you the best on your program. Drop in often and update us on how you're doing. It's a kickass program and it'll change your life!

Hello Inertia Team! I'm on board, doing my second week of Insanity. You gotta start somewhere, and I'm here. I confess I'm terribly embarassed to post my photo, but I thought it would be a good reality check for me.

Crosstheabyss, love the screen name. Makes me think of Evel Kneivel jumping the grand canyon emoticon It takes a great deal of courage to post your before pics. I know tons of people who wouldn't think of doing it. It's a great tool to hold yourself accountable, and in 60 days your results are going to make it history! Congrats on completing your first 10 days of Insanity and sticking strictly to your diet. Only 21 days to build a habit. You're halfway there!

PUSH THROUGH!

Paul Cravey

Thanks for the welcome Inertia. I finished Plyo last night for the very first time. I took my time, but i pushed myself on each task. I didnt quite finish it though, i could only do about 40 minutes. But at least now i have a target to reach next Tuesday. My thighs are definitely hurting this morning, but its the kind of hurt that makes you want to say "hot damn i worked out so good last night". It definitely makes me feel like i cant wait to get home to do Shoulders and Arms. I think i will just be thankful that Tony wont be hammering my legs tonight emoticon

Food part is definitely hard, especially with it being Thanksgiving. Mind you i have already told the in-laws i will be eating smallish portions as i have a plan i am following!! Its definitely the time of year where strong willpower can do someone justice.

I hope everyone here has a wonderful Thanksgiving!!!!

P90X Shoulders & Arms today...Great Workout, totally pumped to be on my last phase of Round 3. Finished off the day with a 2.5 mile run and 40 reps per exercise of Ab RipperX. My goal is 50 reps per exercise by the time I'm done at Christmas!
Still working the Shakeology into my diet, but am only on the 3rd day of that. It's surprisingly filling and I like the Greenberry better than the Chocolate...go figure!

99stevo,
Thanks for dropping in. Plyo is an awesome workout. Sounds like you've definitely got the hunger! Shoulders and Arms is also a great one. Tony's quite cynical but motivating and actually pretty funny.
The diet is the tough part...the one hour of pushing play is easy. It's the other 23 hours of eating right that's tough. Abs are made in the kitchen.

Way to keep at it and have a happy Thanksgiving!

Welcome to all the new peeps!

Crosstheabyss: Grats on the new commitment! You are going to look amazing before long!

Yesterday was my first Legs & Back in 6 months. Plus, I had been doing yard work all day prior to working out. But, I crushed it! emoticon

Two posts in one day!! I am extra proud of myself tonight, whic is why i came on, i had to brag about it!!! I crushed Shoulders and Arms tonight, i didnt do the bonus round, but for the regular rounds, i put a goal in my head and reached it everytime and even kept up with Tony when he set a goal for everyone. I even amazed myself when i hit 20 chair dips the first time.

On the other hand, it was time for Ab Ripper X, and i think if i was to get graded i wouldnt have passed. All i have to say is Fifer Scisoors are no joke!! I knew i was done when i got to the Pulse Ups and couldnt even get my butt off the ground. I will definitely feel the burn tomorrow!!

Everyone have a happy Thanksgiving!!

Steve

I love you and I am proud of you and you are an awesome coach. Wish you were here for my actual workouts. Thanks for always encouraging me and others and for leading by example. LC

Thanksgiving day in Afghanistan started with Yoga X. Can't believe that on round 3 of P90X I'm still getting sore when I start new phases...amazing workouts! Legs and back again tomorrow and I WILL do 100 pullups again and 40 reps per exercise of Ab Ripper (Gotta have goals!) I'm so stoked to see you all on here. You motivate me more than you know!

99Stevo: Congrats! you've got the hunger! Don't get discouraged with the abs. I was 3 weeks in before I could do the whole thing through....and I thought I was in shape. These days due to schedule I do the base workout in the AM and the abs in the PM. I am much stronger and work my abs way harder that way. Congratulations and keep bringing it!

Lesley: Thanks for the note lover. I'm very proud of you for your workouts and your health. I was stoked by how healthy your bloodwork was after Chalean. Want you around forever. I'll be home to workout with you as soon as I can...all my love.

Mike: Thanks for regularly dropping in brother. Great upline coach and I appreciate all the support.

Cross the Abyss: Hope you had a great Thanksgiving and stayed Shaun T motivated! Working on two weeks down now so keep at it!! Push Through! Can't wait to join you in Insanity on the New Year.
