DEPRESSIVE SLUMP UPDATE
DEPRESSIVE SLUMP UPDATE
11/23/09 11:32 AM
Last week I purchased a kitchen portion scale for my meals and Bowflex adjustable weights for the workouts. I just started Phase 3 of P90X Classic and the weights really make a difference. Now I'm hoping the food intake matches the new workout input. Just a few questions to keep me informed: When the meal plan asks for 1 whole grain roll could I substitute that for 2 slices of whole whetat bread? When the protein portions ask for 9oz, does that have to be cooked or uncooked? I'm working on a budget so I've only been using the GNC brand whey protein for my protein shakes and recovery drink needs with water, so do I need more or are there supplements that can help my weight loss process along? Thanks again everyone for the support, as always, much appreciated.

Two pieces of bread are fine.

Protein portions are generally raw -- but ham or similar will obviously be cooked.

If you can't afford recovery formula, you can make your own. You'll find how in this FAQ.

Amazing how research can make all the difference before investing into a program. I compared the labels of my GNC Whey Protein powder to the Recovery Drink Formula and the numbers are scary to say the least. Long story short, too much protein and not enough carbs and sugar in my drink. I'm going to purchase something on the cheap ASAP and just as well that I realized this at the start of my 3rd Phase becasue the workouts are changing up and the diet is doing so as well, so it's only beneficial that I found the last piece of this puzzle to making sure this program works for me. More to come, and thanks again for the advice and info.
