I just want to shout from the rooftops of how Chalene Johnson has changed my life for the better. Although I have dabbled with losing weight and exercise for YEARS - it wasnt until my birthday in January when I ordered Chalean Extreme that I knew I was in it to win it. Chalene is such a motivator - I dont know how I can really pinpoint what it is but I just clicked immediatly with her. I think her program is top notch and I think she truly cares about the people doing her workouts.

I know now that I am in this for life. Chalene has shown me that exercise is not about having to lose 10 lbs for some vacation coming up or any other event. It is a way of life, it is FUN, it is a great example to kids - and I love it.

Thank you Chalene - from the bottom of my heart.


SO TELL ME PEOPLE - WHO IS YOUR HERO? WHO INSPIRES YOU? WHAT INSPIRES YOU? I would love to hear your stories.

Push Circuit 1 was today. Whew - I sure love that workout. My eating has been right on all day. I am feeling really good.

I am so glad to hear you are so exited about Chaleene , I also do chalene extreme and I get the same felling , she cares and can be trusted , I never realy want to get started on a workout but once the DVD is in and I get started she motivates me in a way like ,if this little blonde can do it so can I and it always amazes me how fast the workouts go by , at first I was just doing the weight portion of the program and skipping alot of the cardio but after talking to Chalene in chat ( i beleve the next chat is Nov 27 ) she convinced me how important the cardio is , now I do Cardio 6 days a week and weights 3

nice to meet you. I so agree on her enthusiasm. I just love it. Like right now - I am tired - it's 5 am. I dont feel like doing burn intervals - but I know within 2 minutes of popping it in - I will be so into it.

do you beleive I have never been on one of the live chats with Chalene? Obviously I am missing out - thanks for reminding me about them. Maybe I will try to get on the one on the 27th. I would love to chat with her and all the other chalene fans. Do you do other cardio as well or is it Chalene's stuff? I do her turbo jam also and I walk my dogs a lot, bike ride, and occassionaly go for a run.

I am positive there was a live chat with Chalene on the 27th but it is no longer listed
and dont get to excited about talking to her , there are so many people asking her questions at once and she is like me she has to look at the keyboard when typing , so she misses things and there is not enough time to answer every one but she does manage to get some words of wisdom in , I have been following the workout's exactly as laid out in the guide book , in her last chat she said her programs were set at the Minum to get results
that we need to do 6 days of cardio and 3 days of weights , so I have started on weight days also doing the bouus turo Jam work out and on cardio days i will also do a ab workout

Hope everyone enjoyed their thanksgiving. We had a great dinner with my parents.

I panicked though bc in the morning our power went out. I wasnt cooking so that wasnt the porblem. THe problem was - I wanted to get my workout in before we went to my parents to eat. Thank goodness it came back on and I was able to burn some calories iwth Chalene before I ate dinner.

Well today we are having our "second" thanksgiving dinner at my mother in laws. I am really feeling grossed out by that today. I feel like I already had my overindlugence so I am going to try really hard today to eat something healthy before I go and then really limit my portions. I like spending time with the family but having two huge meals only days apart - used to be great - but now is gross.

Gonna rock my Push 3 in a little bit so at least I will feel good about that. I know if I concentrate on small portions I will be ok - but it is really gonna take concentration. Ugh.

ok - so I have made a commitment to myself to make these next 4 weeks the best yet. I really want to push myself to end 2009 with a bang so I am adding doubles as much as my body will permit over the next 4 weeks. I am going to add in running, plyo, cardio x and kenpo x and possibly some ab ripper x. I just really want to move and shake things up. I am so excited to see where I can end this year - it's been such a great ride. Usually I feel bad about myself - making that vow to lose weight - the dreaded new year's resolution. Not this year emoticon

This morning I ran on my treadmill 2.5 miles

Just got done now doing Push 1. I am ready for bed now. emoticon

I feel the same way you do about Chalene.I started Turbo jam in March this year after a very fit friend was raving about the program.I had been trying to lose weight for several years working out on a regular basis and trying several diets and was lucky to lose 5 lbs in 3 months and then it slowly crept back on.I am 55 and my metabolism and lifestyle changed about 10 years ago and then 7 years ago I quit smoking.I have been 27 lbs heavier than I am comfortable with and was pretty depressed about it.I didn't lose any weight until I started Chalene Extreme.That program kicked my metabolism back into high gear and i feel like my young self again and have lost 18 lbs with 9 more to go.I wore the same size jeans for 25 years and still have 3 pair. A month ago I pulled them on but didn't come close to getting them zipped.A few days ago I got them on ,zipped and buttoned [I can't breathe yet!] I felt a huge emotional sense of achievement and felt soooooo grateful to Chalene for her careful research in designing these programs and her encouraging manner.
I had really felt i was condemmed to that roll of flab around my middle and it felt horrible and I know it is unhealthy.I work in the healthcare field and am so thrilled to be able to show people that you can get back in shape.
I am doing my third round of Chalene extreme and started the Push phase today-I am so much stronger and some Abs are starting to poke thru the flab!
So, Thanks from the bottom of my heart also, Chalene you are a hero

HUGE congratulations on so many aspects - your weight loss, your quitting smoking, and the Jeansemoticon You are so right. There are so many programs out there just thrown together to be sold to people and you really truly know that Chalene has put so much time and research into her programs. I really appreciate that about her. ANd she even said herself that she got into the heavier weights thing bc she kinda felt like her metabolism was changing. It is awesome that you are in the healthcare field - what a great example you are showing to all of the people you come into contact with. I am sure my friends get tired of hearing me rave about chalene and BB so I am glad to know when someone shares my point of view. emoticon I am in the push phase too - of only my 2nd rotation though. I am adding some P90x cardio in just for these few weeks before 2009 ends.

Keep up the great work. emoticon

Ok so not that much longer until the holidays. I am really really going to challenge myself to CLEAN EATING. all of the days leading up to Christmas Eve and Christmas. Who is with me? Let's do this.

Today was Cardio X and a mile and half run on the treadmill.

Eating was good

B: oatmeal with tbsp peanut butter
S; almonds and apple
L: egg salad on one slice whole wheat bread; cup of lentil soup
S: greek yogurt
D: cup of whole wheat pasta; 4 oz tofu, 1/4 c black beans, and salad.

Lots of water today and two cups of green tea.

Gonna end 2009 with a bang.

very stressful day today. woke up to a leaky roof due to pouring rain and high winds all night. Ugh. But I am happy to say that I did not stress eat - huge feat for me - yeah me. emoticon I think I am actually changing.

Burn intervals today. Whew. I am glad this week is over. It has been a very stressful week. I cannot beleive how quickly the holidays are approaching. I swear I feel like time has been flying by lately.

Ok - starting the Lean phase today. This is so cool because this is the program that I got and started for my 35th birthday. Well I am coming up on my 36th birthday in January and I will be finishing up with the lean phase just in time. I am such a differnt person going into this next birthday. THank you Chalene.




Listen - if anyone is out there lurking - please come out. I would love to help you reach your goals- not only in fitness but if there is anything else you need help with. I really had to overcome some big hurdles and issues along the way mentally and with binge eating etc. It is so much more than weight loss or getting in shape with some people. I am one of those people. I have spent this entire year getting myself right. ANd by right I dont mean hoping on the scale to see what I weigh. Yes, that is important and it is a milestone - but I knew I had so much more to overcome before I could ever actually get myself physically to my final goal. The mental was so hard to break through but I have done it.

I would love to help you.

If you are out there and you are looking for help or someone to talk to or someplace to be held accountable - I am here. I dont bite = promiseemoticon

Wow - LC 1 - I forgot breakdown sets right out of the gates!! Whew. I swear my arms and legs are like jelly now. GOnna really sit and plan my meals out today - no way am I blowing all that hard work I did. Tricep push-ups - mercy me!!

well since I have woken up to sore shoulders - I am assuming that I once again did not get the tricep push ups right. They are my nemesis. One day I will get the form right. Guess it wasnt yesterday. I was hoping to do turbo jam today on my day off but I am not sure now with my sore shoulders if I can do those punches. Maybe I will do a run instead. WIll have to have some coffee and think it over.

Todays mealplan:

B: multigrain cheerios, 1/2 cup milk and 1/2 banana
S: greek yogurt with 1/2 scoop protein powder
L: cup of vegetable soup, cup of kidney beans and salad with olive oil, vinegar
S: apple with peanut butter
D: pasta with tofu and brocoli



lots of water - gotta get a workout in.

If you come here to read this - I wanted to let you know how truly inspired I was by your story. I wont say too much because for some reason, I received email notification of your post but when I came here to the thread - the post is not here. So I am assuming that for some reason you deleted it. So if that is the case - I wont say too much about anything that you wrote in your post. I know sometimes you can change your mind and not wnat the whole world to know your story. I just have to say I am incredibly proud of the changes you have made in your life. You have done such an amazing job. And I wanted to thank you for writing to me - it was perfect timing for me to read your post because in the middle of that night my grandmother died after a long battle with alzheimers. I couldnt sleep that night and very early in the am is when I read the post from you. I truly needed that. You made me realize again how inspiring people can be and how important it is for us to be here helping each other through their struggles. Right now I havent pp in 2 days bc of my grandmother's death and making funeral arrangements etc. I havent been sleeping. But you reminded me that that's ok - and in a day or two I will pick myself back up, dust myself off and move forward once again.

If you are here and reading this - please come back and post. I would love to keep in contact with you. Again - congratulations on all you have accomplished. I am so proud. Keep up the great work. And thank you for helping me through a tough time.

well i never got a workout in on tuesday. I got a call early afternoon that my grandmom was not doing good. SO I went to be with her instead of working out. She died that night. Yesterday I went to funeral home with my parents to make arrangements for saturday's funeral. Needless to say, I havent worked out yesterday or yet this morning. Just not feeling it right now. If I still feel this way by tomorrow, I am just going to do it - no matter if I feel like it or not. I know it will make me feel better. Just a matter of showing up for it.
