Finished Insanity! (Before and After Pics Included)
Showing 14 results.
Hey everyone!
I finished Insanity...
I'm not so pleased with the results but its okay.
On the good side, I didn't miss one work out. On the down side, I ate bad 3 times, and drank 10 times during the program.
(Its hard not to social drink in college )

My two goals were to tone up more and get abs. I did tone up a little more but not as close to where I wanted. And not nearly close to the abs! I guess they really are that hard to get! ..Im planning on doing Hip Hop Abs soon.

It looks like I toned up in the pictures more than in real life. I have seen friends I haven't seen since before starting Insanity and not one
person has mentioned I look any different.

I am glad that I finished the program the whole way through. Its deff tough to do, and to do every single day, especially when times can be busy. It was my first program I've ever tried.

Here are my stats. By the way, I didn't keep track of some of the first week which I wish I did! If any one is reading this and about to start, keep track the first week and measure yourself! Also, for globe jumps I just counted each hop not the entire circle by the way.

WEEK 1 3 6 8 9
____________________________________________________
Switch Kicks 124 134 136 131 132
Power Jacks - 56 64 66 65
Power Knees 80 94 101 108 111
Power Jumps 37 51 66 70 75

Suicide Jumps - 20 21 21 22
Push-up Jacks - 34 40 36 41
Low Plank Ob. - 55 73 71 86

I'm goin to keep workin and hopefully Ill see more drastic results soon.

You did not miss a workout, and that is a plus. Focus on your next round, don't find any excuse worthy of sacrificing the hard work you're putting in! Be a designated driver if that will keep you in line emoticon

The closer you are to your goal, the harder it gets to see results. I do think eating clean is key to rock hard abs...just hard for most of us to eat clean when our whole lives have been based on using food as the ultimate reason to get together. Look at the holidays, have you ever gone to a holiday party that didn't include food? Maybe it might not include alcohol (but it also wouldn't have a lot of people attending) but food is always going to be around.

Still I see results and YOU MADE IT! Good for you! Be proud.

How was your calories/protein intake? Did you take any Whey Protein shakes before and after your workout? You look like your a hard gainer like myself....If you havnt already, pick up some whey protein, I like ON's Whey Protein, has limited fat and 24g of protein in 1 scoop....Also, if interested try taking creatine, its the 100% safest way to gain mass, period. It will help your muscle repair, push harder during a workout and tone up a lot more...The main thing is eat, a lot...Not fast foods, but clean foods, and at your size, its ok to add a bit more fat in your diet, just keep it honest.

I always took half a scoop of whey protein shake after working out...I would have like to taken more but then id get acne

i tried creatine before but i feel like thats only temporary...it seems like it temporarily puts water in your muscles to make you appear more built and then when you stop taking it it goes away like that. any way, im mostly trying to completly tone up

what i did notice was i didn't eat as much as insanity intended... it suggested 550 calories 5 times a day! i deff ate a lot less..

i have been noticing slight improvments but it doesn't seem as drastic as they should be

im trying hip hop abs now but it doesn't seem like a serious workout program like insanity..

Protein doesnt promote acne, you may have something else in your diet promoting it....Creatine doesnt only add water weight, it does some but all around it is to help you a lot more with the repair and recovery process, The looking big is just a plus while u work out.....Eatting is the key to getting bigger...While I was deployed last year I was working in the Kitchen for 3 months...So I had full access to as much food as wanted....I gained about 15 pounds in 4 months, yes some being water weight, but regardless, without eatting all that food, i would of gain very little.

I have read in different places that protein shakes don't cause acne but by my experience I don't trust taking too much.
I should deff be going by the calorie intake Insanity suggested more, but I'm also not trying to get huge and ripped, but just get rid of all my body fat.

Congrats on completing a round! Have you thought about doing P90X or Chalean Extreme maybe? Although Insanity says that it can help with muscle tone, if you didn't have much muscle to begin with, it's doubtful that you're going to increase it much. I know you're probably living in a dorm for college, but my husband put the videos on his iPod and just brings that to the gym with him and listens to it. Also, you don't have to use weights, you can use bands. There is more and more evidence supporting the use of bands for muscle tone/building. I know you said you're not trying to get huge and ripped, so the bands or lighter weights might get you just what you're looking for. You can also modify the workouts to where you are maybe using the P90X for lifting and the Insanity for the cardio portion of it. Good luck with your efforts.

Hey everyone,

I was doing Hip Hop Abs for a week but it didn't seem like a real challenge, so I'm on my second round of Insanity now.

I just started trying out Stacker 2 pills to help tone up more... what do you think about that? Is it just for heavy people or is it fine someone my size to try them out?

I'm not gonna lie bro, I see absolutely no difference. (you are already skinny though so that's why)

I think you need to up your protein intake and and work out with heavy weights.

That's a great idea, and I don't have all the weights I need for it so I'm planning to just put the videos on my iphone and do it that way right at the gym.

I have a friend with your body type and if you're trying to add muscle just remember that you're going to need to eat MORE!!! You must have an excess of calories to add muscle. Use heavy weights, eat more, you might get a little bit fatter in the process but that's ok, once you add the muscle and size you want then you do cardio and bring your body fat down.
