Not sore?
Not sore?
1/10/10 10:24 AM
This question may sounds a little crazy...but I'm in week 2 of P90X and I'm not that sore. I'm pushing myself as hard as I can. For example, I did ab ripper x yesterday and couldn't complete another rep.
My question is...could this be related to nutrition or am I not pushing hard enough? I'm following the portion section of the nutrition plan so I've been taking in tons of protein and water. In addition, I use a cup of apple juice and 1/2 a scoop of protein powder as my recovery drink.
Obviously I want results and can't seem to find too much information about lack of soreness. Any thoughts?

Have you been working out a lot before P90X?

I don't think being sore or not being sore is a great indicator of whether or not you worked hard enough. Even when I first started the program I was never sore after Legs and Back, but that's because my legs have always been freakishly strong from dance. I was still working out with the highest level of intensity that I have, but I was used to that kind of movement.

Just be sure you are using proper form. Good form should be more important than number of reps. If your form is good and their is no soreness I think you will make alot of people on these boards very jealous.
Good Luck.

Thanks for the feedback. I have worked out, but actually took some time off due to work. I guess I'm feeling more sore two days out from a workout...but not completely paralyzed like some others. Guess this is the first time I've done an intense program and not been dying!
