Insanity after baby?
Insanity after baby?
1/30/10 8:40 AM
Hello everyone, I am wondering if there are any other women out there trying Insanity to lose baby weight? I was 140 before my son and gained about 50 lbs. I lost 30 without really doing anything but still have 20 left and would acutally love to get back down to 135 or so. I know Insanity is pretty intense but I was in the military and am no stranger to hard work outs. I started Insanity last Saturday so I am only a week in. I love the work outs but I have some fluid built up on one of my knees and am wondering if I should take a few days off to see if it heals on its own or should I keep going and just not do some of the impact moves? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi, I had my son almost a year ago already (wow time flies). I had to have a C-setion with him so it is double hard to lose the weight for me. I was 130 lbs 5'7 before I got pregnant, then I gained 55 lbs with him (he was a big baby, almost 9 lbs, and I ate whatever I wanted, big mistake, lol) I was the same as you pretty much lost 35 lbs right away. But the last 15-20 still hasnt' and its been a year!! My friend told me about slim in 6 so I started researching it. Anyway, I started March 1, 2010 and I've lost 5 lbs and 6.5 inches already!!! I know its a 6 wk program but I'm not counting my first week b/c I did the intro start it up dvd the entire wk even though your only supposed to do it a day or two. I was really out of shape and sore from the first day so I am considering that my prep wk. Currently I am on wk 2 of burn it up!!! I love this video! I used to go to the gym every now and then but would quit after about a month b/c of boredom. These videos give me the motivation and courage to workout. Now I don't consider working out a chore like I used to! I just consider it a healthy part of living and apart of my normal routine everyday. I can't believe you are doing insanity, are you insane, lol. but really, how is it? I def don't think i am ready for that. Oh, you can add me if you want www.teambeachbody.com/kflynn0318

Hi

I had a C-section in Oct and at 10 wks pp did P90X for 6 weeks and switched over to insanity. I am currently finishing up week 3 with insanity. I have about 25 lbs to lose to get to pre-preg weight but with insanity I am toning up all over but not shedding the weight. I rather lose inches than lbs anyways. I think insanity is a great way to get back in shape after the baby.
