Hello Everyone

Hi I am new to the group, but not new to P90X.... My partner and I are on day 55 and absolutely love it. I love the fact that everyone else in this program feels the need to pay compliments to everyone at all levels of this program. I will motivate anyone who needs me too and hope you all do the same for me. Thank you and look forward to forming friendships with all walks of life !!!

Hey guys,

I am a 31 y/o guy who is looking to get ripped. I used to be a lightweight boxer during my years in college. That means I was around 130 pounds and with a height of 5-11, I looked very skinny. Currently, I’m around 183pounds and even though I work out often, my body does not ”rock” the way I want it. You know - the X factor!

I work a lot and I travel even more, but I’m committed to start, continue and finish P90X at least for two rounds meaning 180 days. That’s my goal! I want to join and group and add buddies so we can push each other to the limit. So far, I only have my coach who seem to be really nice. I feel like I need to be held accountable. So if you guys do it for me I will do it for you too! Please, feel free to "buddy me up"!

I am planning to start the first of March, 2010. I already received the material and I'm reading it. It is a lot to read but I want to make sure I don't miss anything. Especially the diet plan because I was not doing so good in that area.

Johnny...I still get a little sore. Not anything like I did the first week. That was brutal. I stretch more thoroughly ( learned that trick right away ) lol but I think as long as you feel a little sore, it means you are pushing yourself. Time goes by so fast when doing this program and before you know it, day 90 will be here. Thank you for your kind words..keep motivated, and keep me posted on your progress as I will you!

Talking about yoga, johnny! Everyone that knows me, knows that I am not a yoga guy. Some positions creep me out. But, I said before, I want to try new things which includes that. Besides, I have a friend (guy) who does yoga and he says it is a really hard. So, I'm looking forward to. By the way, thanks for adding me to your buddy list.

T-3!

can't wait!

Cheers,

Saul

Hey Everyone,

Today I went to the grocery store to get on track with my diet. I'm done reading the material so I guess I am ready to start the program tomorrow. I had my last qdoba on Friday. Sad moment, indeed! Well there are sacrifices in everything we do. I hope everyone is doing well.

Cheers,
Saul

Hey Everbody!

I am right there with most of you as today will be day 4 for me. Felling pretty good. Have lots of motivation and am looking forward to my workout later today. I work at 5:30 am today so I workout until around 2pm so kind of waiting in anticipation as weird as that sounds. I am just really anxious to be able to say that I am on day 55 then day 90 and feeling even better than I am now. For anyone who just started... i take a look at the before and after pictures every now and then and that helps my motivation continue. Hope to keep in touch!

Keep bringing it!

I am on day 3 , I can not wait to say day 55 that is so awesome. SO sore, I guess that means I am working. That is very encouraging to hear that the soreness doesn't get as bad later on in the program and I guess stretching is the key not to get as sore.

How is every one doing on the diet ? are you guys following it to a T or just cutting out the junk ? whats working for you ? Not finding it to hard yet on food choices I am going to miss my taco bell, thinking a cheat meal once a week will work.

Personally, I am just eating clean and sticking pretty close to the portions. I haven't thought about having a cheat meal or not but I am sure this weekend it will be tempting so I may have one a week. As far as sorness goes... yes streching helps it but even more is having adequate protein intake. A rule of thumb is when working out at levels such as p90x is to take in .7 to 1 gram per pound of body weight. So I weigh 140 and I would need to take in 98-140 grams per day. Really, if you are sticking to the portions plan and taking in the # of proteins then you should get close.

Hey guys!

How is everyone doing.? I am following the meal plan as much as I can. That means that I will eat what's on the list for the entire week but at different times. I'm doing my groceries weekly so I know exactly what I will eat. It works fine because it forces me to follow the plan. If I dont have it, I wont eat it!

Yesterday was my first day doing the P90X. I must say that I am proud of my chest and back performance. The inner boxer shined shined through the whole time. Needless to say that I sweated like a horse during the K. Derby. I drank 3.5L of water. It was incredible! The ab ripper X...Not so much. basically, I looked like a cat laying on his back while fighting not to take a bath. I knew that was coming so I am not totally surprised. Also, I know that the form is as important as the repetitions so I took my time to do less amount of abs. I mean Tony mentioned 300+ abs repetitions and I only did 125. That tells you how slow I was going. Today I am feeling it. My upper body is sore but that means I worked it out which is exactly what we are here.

Well, today is going to be plyo's. I know those are a b**ch to perform but I'm looking forward to.

bring it!

cheers,
Saul

Hello Devin,

how is it going for you? You should be able to add buddies by using the buddie tab. click on that and then type the screen-name of the person you want to add.

cheers,
Saul

That is a pretty hilarious description. I don't quite feel like that LOL but Ab Ripper X is so excrutiating to say the least. I think I forget about how hard it is until I am done with my first workout and then still have to do abs. Can't wait for the day to come that I can get through all of the exercises without having to stop and maybe less pain. emoticon

Hey Guys!

How is everyone doing? Right on track?

Davin - You are right. The Abs exercise feels endless to me. I am doing them very slow because I want to keep a good form all the time.

My second day which is Plyo's(March 2nd, 2010) went well too. However, I felt I was ran over by a truck after works. I definitely stopped a couple of times because I couldn't keep up with Tony's speed. I mean, WTF? At some point I found myself yelling at the screen.. wait up, guys!!! WAIT UP!!! I recreated the scene from "A Christmas Story" where the young kid (ralphie's brother) was trying to catch up with the older kids. I mean..Wait up, guys!!! Also, I had wedgies as much as flies on a cow! That contribute to pushing the pause buttom every now and then. It was fun though.

Yesterday I had my third day so I did Shoulders, arms and abs. Again, I am doing extremely well with upper body exercises. In fact, I need to increase my weights because I am doing more than 10 and I want to increase the size a little bit. Since this weel in my first week, I decided to continue with the same weights until Sunday. I will start the second week with more weights!

That's all folks!

cheers,
saul
