Welcome to this thread. It is now close to 3 years old! I originally started this on March 29th, 2010 (I can't believe it's been that long!) so you'll see that I started with a straight BBL/CE hybrid. That workout is posted several posts below.

Today is February 14, 2013 (Happy Valentine's Day!). I'm doing another hybrid of CE and BBL. This time, I have a short-term goal of toning up and losing maybe 3 pounds before I head to Cabo with my husband for a week. I've been doing RushFit (not Beachbody) and before that I did two rounds of RevAbs (love!). Mixed in there, I've been doing CE and BBL workouts here and there.

Doing a hybrid with CE and BBL is hard because they both focus so much on legs. So, I'm keeping it simple this time:

Week 1: CE Burn Circuit Week
Week 2: BBL Slim & Lift Week 2
Week 3: CE Push Circuit Week
Week 4: BBL Slim & Lift Week 3
Week 5: CE Lean Circuit Week
Week 6: BBL Slim & Lift Week 4

That's it. Like I said, it is a short hybrid because I'm leaving in just a few weeks. I'm keeping the diet simple, too, by choosing my meals from the CE guide as if I'm in the Burn Circuit the whole time. I know that is the best diet to lose body fat. I hope everyone is enjoying BBL. I love it, and I love to bring in the workouts from it in my hybrids. It is challenging. I think people are surprised by that. If you want to read some of my older posts from when I started this thread, please see below. I also have a few of my other hybrids attached.

Older posts:

Today is January 5th, 2012. I just finished 16 weeks of the official Turbo Fire/CE hybrid. I brought in the occasional BBL workout, but not often. Tomorrow, I'm starting a mini hybrid with BBL and P90X. I did a longer one this time last year, using BBL as my cardio and leg days. This time, however, I'm keeping it simple until I decide what I want to do long term.

I'm going to pick my "month" of BBL (pretty sure it's slim and lift). Then, I'm doing 2 weeks from that month, then 1 week of P90X (from week 1), then it's back to finish up the BBL month and then one more week of P90X. I've never done just P90X, so it will be interesting to see what it is like to focus on that, even if only for a week. Then, I can decide if it's worth doing more of.

You can read some of my previous intro posts below:

It is now January 12, 2011. I went through a couple of hybrids with Brazil Butt Lift adding in Chalean Extreme. On Monday, January 10th, 2011, (as you'll see from posts way in), I started a new, 6-week hybrid with BBL and P90X. I personally chose a 6-week program (and not longer) because I am going on vacation in 5 weeks and I was timing elements of this hybrid into that trip. When I get back, I'll either repeat that hybrid or design a new one.

The key element in my hybrids, though, is BBL. I really find that these series of workouts have been great for toning my legs and strengthening my mid-section. When you do Bum Bum and BBL High & Tight, you can get some really lean, toned legs. This time around, I'm subbing in those two workouts for the P90X Legs & Back day. Tummy Tuck is GREAT for the mid section. It is a very challenging ab workout, especially when you get to the plank work. That and some of the CE ab workouts are coming in to sub for P90X Ab Ripper X.

Anyway, the hybrid I designed THIS time around is very simple and can still be adapted for use with P90X or CE. I have attached it below. I have also left attached the BBL/CE hybrid I did last time.

Head to the end of this thread to catch up on current events!! Here's what I previously wrote:

As I'm writing this, it is June 12th, and my last day of the hybrid is tomorrow. After that, I'm mixing it up with all of my Beachbody programs, with BBL as the main focus. I hope you're enjoying your results with BBL. If you want to mix it up with some of your other programs, I hope you'll post here so that we can gain from your experience! I love hearing about different workouts, and we all need something new to motivate us.

C'mon. Let's get that great Brazilian Bum Bum and still enjoy our other Beachbody workouts, too!

(Just before March 29th I wroteemoticon

Hello, everyone!

I've been a fan of CE for over a year, now, and I've gotten some great results.

I started Brazil Butt Lift (BBL) on January 25th and was amazed at my weight loss/body firming results. It is also a great program.

I found, however, that I missed lifting weights. It was something that I really looked forward to in the morning, and I wasn't getting enough of that with BBL (although you do get some toning workouts). I'm starting to lose the strength and muscle tone in my upper body that I got with Chalean, although I'm getting a great lower body!

So, I've decided to do a hybrid of the two programs. I've mapped out a 9-week plan starting on Monday that will go until the end of May. I've really looked at the exercises for both programs, and I've tried to meld the two together to be able to get the best results without taxing the muscles too much.

If you're a fan of both programs, I'd love it if you'd join me. I posted a message on the CE boards, but I'm going to make this the main thread since BBL is the newer of the two programs.

I have attached an excel spreadhsheet, mapping out the workout schedule that I came up with. I'm going to use both the BBL and the CE food guides, as I think that are both great, sticking with around 1300 calories for my weight and body goals.

I'm hoping that this will give me the best of both worlds, and I'm excited for Monday!

It is now April 6th, 2011. I'm taking a recovery week and then next week will be starting a hybrid with P90X/Brazil Butt Lift/Turbo Fire. I'm also posting that workout below, as as PDF. It will be around 13 weeks of intense, butt kicking (and hopefully lifting emoticon ) workouts.

Hi! I'm in my second week of Slim & Lift, and just received my CE DVDs in the mail. Right now I think BBL is enough of a workout - I am still adjusting to it - but eventually would like to incorporate both.

I'd love to see your rotation, but am on a mac & the link doesn't work. Any chance you will be posting it here on the boards?

Hi coachchi,

Checked out your new workout schedule - looks great! I think I'm going to focus just on BBL for the next 12 weeks. Plus, the weather here is getting better so plan on doing stuff outdoors. But after that rotation, I may want to incorporate both. I'll have to see how I like BBL and whether I can actually handle both. But CEX is definitely in my future plans!

Good luck with your workouts - I'm sure your results will be amazing!

I couldn't open the attachment because I'm on a MAC. But after I finish this round of CE I would love to do the hybrid. I have BBL, but I haven't had a chance to try it yet because I'm really focusing on getting through this round of CE. Anyway, could you post the hybrid on the board?

Hi, everyone!

Let me know the best way to post the hybrid workout on the board. Should I just copy and paste directly? Does that work for an excel spreadsheet?

Good morning! Day 1 started well (after thinking about it, I decided to start one day early so that Saturday could remain as my rest day). I don't know if it was the fact that I had an easy week, or what I gained from BBL, but this workout was relatively easy! I as able to go up all the way to 12 on every exercise, when before I only got to 11 on some.

It felt good, and I was happy to get back to weight lifting. Cardio Axe tomorrow!

Coachchi-I may do CEX after all! But I plan on doing BBL for 12 weeks and just do the weight lifting part of CEX for 12 weeks as well. So I won't do the hybrid because I really want to get all the benefits of BBL since that's my problem area.

I still have one week left of SS, but I haven't worked out all week. I am just getting over a sinusitis and now have started symptoms of something else....sore throat, achey body, sore chest....so I had planned to start tomorrow, the 29th, but now will have to wait and see how I feel.

Anyway, will be back on here to keep you posted.

Good morning, all! Cardio Axe today -- it felt good to get back to that workout.

I can't believe I'm a little sore from yesterday's workout. My chest muscles were actually sore last night! The back of my legs and inner thighs are sore, too. So, I guess I worked a few new muscles.

Tomorrow is CE BC 2. Have a great day, everyone. The kids are on Spring Break so I have to try and balance doctors appts, work, and finding time to spend with them amongst them being here and playing video games, watching TV, etc.

Coachchi, your workout rotation sounds great! I just ordered BBL, and was wanting to combine that with CE. Thank you for sharing your plan! I'm in my last week of CE Push Phase and loving it!
Good luck to everyone!

Morning all, BC2 done!

I did something to my left shoulder (not the one with the rotator cuff torn one), so I'm glad this wasn't a shoulder workout. I was able to get through most of the exercises, but I had to cut the pushups at the end short because the tricep pushups bothered the shoulder too much.

I was struggling to get through the workout a little bit so my couple of days of not eating the best is showing. Still having a hard time getting back to eating well since vacation, but starting now I'm following that BBL guide exactly!!

BBL Sculpt tomorrow. Hopefully the shoulder will be better tomorrow because that's a lot of shoulder work! I might have to do the workout with 3 lb weights emoticon to get through it, but we'll see.

Hi, I'd like to join. My name is sandra. I completed my first round of CE in december 09 with great results. Lost twenty pounds and 13 inches. Unfortunately I stopped working out since then but I am ready for round two. I haven't gained any weight but I haven't lost any more either.

Yesterday I did my first workout BC1. I plan to follow the CE schedule but I am also adding BBL for extra cardio. I have a question. I want to start the supermodel slim down tommorow but it's 1000 calories alowed per day. Would it be a good idea to try it while doing the BC workouts? I don't want to overdo it.

Has anyone else tried the six day plan? What were your results?

Great, Sandra. Welcome!

Honestly, I would not do the slim down plan if you're going to continue with the BC workouts. Your body will go to attack and eat the muscle before it really does the fat, so you'll lose some muscle.

Instead, I would follow the regular BBL daily diet, with 100 to 200 calorie snacks depending on your weight loss goals. Try 1,200/day to see how you are doing.

I tried the six-day plan when I first started BBL (I wasn't doing CE that first week), and I found it too restrictive -- it takes a strong amount of willpower. However, I know others who have been successful. I just wouldn't do it if you are also weight lifting. I found 1,200 calories/day, with 3 meals and 2 snacks, much more easy to handle, and I still lost 4 pounds in about 6 weeks on BBL. Goo luck!

Good morning! BC3 done today -- my least favorite of the Burn Circuit workouts. I really feel it in my quads today.

Tomorrow is Cardio Axe and Tummy Tuck. Yeah1 I really feel like I could use some tummy tightening!

Hi! Thanks for the rotation schedule. I just ordered BBL and should be getting it next Monday or Tuesday. Last year I did 2 rounds of CLX, and it's addicting. maybe after I get used to the BBL workouts I will follow your hybrid rotation. I felt some parts of CLX could of used more lower body, so this will be perfect.

I have been doing p90x for over a year and I love it.. but have been hearing a lot about CE and who's butt couldn't use a lift, so I got both, THEN I found your post. Of course I'll look at the plan that comes with both, but since one poster stated they felt they were "losing muscle" with just BBL, I think I'll probably start with you on your schedule as soon as it gets here. I'm looking forward to some new and challenging workouts!

Happy Easter! Just started week 2 of the hybrid plan -- Chalean Extreme Burn Circuit 1. Great workout. I whipped out my MP3 player to get through it, and it really helps fight any boredome of having done the program so much! I was able to go up in weights on some exercises. Really feeling it in my butt, too, so I hope I don't have too much trouble tomorrow.

Doing BBL Cardio Axe and High & Tight tomorrow. Looking forward to it. It's been a while since I did High & Tight all of the way through!

I guess I forgot to post yesterday! I did Cardio Axe and High & Tight (except the ankle weight part -- not enough time. I thought I'd get to it later in the day, but work was too busy!).

Today was CE Burn Circuit 2. I felt that I got a good butt and arm workout. I also tried to really focus on the back exercise because I always like a muscular back. Anyway, I had my MP3 player again and, while I was working out, one of the tracks from Chalene's motivational CD came on. It was the one where she talks about people making the excuse of not enough time to workout. It made me think of some of my family members, who really have so much less on their plates than most, that don't work out. I've tried to help them in the past, but I guess unless one is ready to commit to the change/time, it doesn't really matter. My thoughts go out to them often, and I hope that one day they will take the time and make the commitment.

Anyway, even if you are not doing Chalean Extreme at the moment, I recommend reviewing her motivational CD, just to give yourself that extra encouragement.

Well, off to take care of sick kids!
