Missed a week of P90x
Missed a week of P90x

This may seem like a silly question, but I just have to know for sure. I'm on the P90X lean program. I missed week 3 of P90x due to sickness, but I picked back up the next week with week 3's workout. Today starts week 4, so should I consider this my 'recovery week' even though I haven't consistently done the first 3 weeks all together? I almost feel like I should do one extra week of the routine (not sure why! maybe just guilt from missing a week). I have also missed 2 days this past week due to being out of town. I just want to make sure I get the most out of this program even though I had to miss some days.

Also, I haven't lost any pounds yet but my muscles definitely feel leaner/stronger. I have to admit that I haven't been following the nutritional guide perfectly but I have been eating "better". Exercising is the easy part....changing my food habits have been torture! emoticon

Do an extra week. It says right in the guide you can add weeks, just don't extend any phase over 6 weeks.

Hi! I missed part of week 2 and just repeated the week and started week 3 the next week. It's really up to you, and you can also search the message boards on this, there are a lot of opinions on it!

I think following the nutrition guide is important. I know that it's hard to change old habits, but it's worth it! I threw away all of my junk food and just bought things on this lists so there were no temptations in the house. Now that I am used to it I love what I eat and the junk I used to eat seems gross to me. Give it a try and I think you will be happy with the results!

As far as the weight goes try not to weigh yourself as a measure of your progress, I did and it just frustrated me at the begining. What I didn't realize was I was losing inches but not much weight! I have lost 8" off my waist and 5" off my hips but only 12 pounds over 3 months so the scale is not the best way to track your progress, it has to be a combo of all of the information.

Hang in there and keep pressing play!
