Has anyone done a Insanity/Chalean Extreme Hybrid program?? If so, what were your results?? I've owned Chalean for a while and I love it! I just bought Insanity and really wanted to keep the 3 days of lifting with Chalean in my schedule too. I'm looking to lose a lot of fat in the next 2 months and would like to keep improving on my lean muscle mass. Does anyone have suggestions of rotations for this hybrid program?
Hi, Holly!
Well, that depends on what ur goals R. I just started Chalean after doing 2 rounds of Insanity. I leaned out quite a bit, so now I want to put some muscle on so that's why I'm doing CLX.
With CLX the primary purpose is to build muscle. Doing the crazy intense cardio of Insanity while doing CLX may negate your body's ability to put on muscle. I'm not saying that you won't build muscle, just that you won't do as well with that objective. So, if ur not worried about that and just want some more weight loss, CLX is great. But if U want to put some more muscle on ur body like I do, then what U should do is CLX as prescribed. Depending on how much more weight U have to lose, if U want to do extra cardio, add in 30 minutes of MODERATE cardio on ur non-weight training days, and a maximum of 3days/week.
I've switched up the schedule to work for me with that objective in mind, here is what I do:
M - Run
T - BC1
W - Burn off/Recharge
Thur - BC2
FRI - Burn Intervals/Ab Burner
Sat - BC3
Sun - run
The runs are about 30 mins. Sunday is usually only 20 mins.
Hope this helps!
