No Bake Chocolate Shakeology Cookies (sneaky mom style!)
chocolate shakeology

For those of us who want to better implement health in our kids lives without them feeling deprived of the occasional 'sweet treat', I had a light bulb mom moment! Seeing as baking with Shakeology would destroy some of the nutrient dense qualities we want to benefit from I put a new spin on the no bake cookie recipe using Chocolate Shakeology, and my critics agree (4 and 7 year olds) that these cookies ROCK!!

So check out the recipe if you get a chance emoticon

* 2 cups white sugar or I prefer 1 1/2 cups of xylitol or Truvia
* 1/2 teaspoon salt
* 1/2 cup butter
* 1/2 cup milk
* 1/2 cup natural peanut butter
* 3 cups rolled oats
* 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
* 1 scoop of Chocolate Shakeology

1. In a medium/large saucepan, over med. heat, combine the sugar, salt, butter and milk. Bring to a boil, then boil for 1 full minute. Remove from heat and stir in the peanut butter, oats and vanilla. Using a candy thermometer wait until temp drops below 180* or just until it feels at room temp and then add your scoop of Chocolate Shakeology. Immediately drop by spoonfuls (I use an ice cream scoop) onto waxed paper. Let stand until completely cool and smile as your kids enjoy a special treat, okay you can have one too emoticon

Thank you so much for posting this. Just today I made a whole bunch of no bake cookies for a bake sale, luncheon and then the request of the house. I was thinking while I was making them, hmmm wonder if I can use Shakeology in these and then the how. Thank you.

Oh My Goodness!! These totally rock! Thanks for posting this. I would love to try these so the picky eaters I call my kids can get the benefits of Shakeology in their diet.

I just rec'd my first shipment of Shakeology yesterday and will definitely be making these snacks! I saw a similar (if not the same) recipe on an earlier Team Beachbody newsletter and have been wanting to try it for a while now.

Thank you. I was looking for a way to serve shakeology to our Health Ministry at church. These are perfect.

Those sound delicious! I was wondering if anyone has figured out what would constitute a full serving of Shakeology using these cookies as a meal replacement? If I make these I want to know what the calories are per serving since I'm keeping a food journal to track my calorie intake. Excellent idea!

I made these for my son's preschool Holiday Party bake sale and they were GONE in a flash! I may have eaten half the batter, LOL, but wow, these rock!

Thank you so much for sharing. These are a keeper!

Just made these. They are amazing. Can't stop eating them! I will definitely be making them again with Splenda or Trulia very soon!

I just made these, and they did not set. This was the first time; so, maybe I needed to add something more like maybe more sugar because they are awfully gooey. I used the new Domino Splenda mixture, and I only used 1 1/2 cups. Maybe they need to sit a little longer, but I was thinking they should have gotten a little harder by now.

These sounds very delicious, but after reading about the Shakeology recipe contest that is currently going on, it's not recommended to heat Shakeology more then 140 degrees or it kills a lot of the healthy properties. Just a thought.

Is this true. I do a protein bar that is similar in ingredients, but I bake at 350 for 8 minutes. Am I killing all the good stuff.

Sorry, I just looked at the contest again and it's actually 115 degrees. They just posted a recipe for energy bars on their page! Check it out. I'll be sticking to those and the official shakeology no bake cookie recipe that requires no boiling or baking. emoticon

I really hate to be Nelly Negative here, but I gotta say, this recipe is loaded with refined sugar and saturated fat. Yes, there's Shakeology in there, but it's a little like battering and frying broccoli to get its benefit.

I think you'd be much better off skipping the sugar and dairy - or adding a little milk if you need it. The PB will provide all the fat you need. You'll probably need to trim the oats too. If it needs to be sweeter, add a tablespoon at most of honey.

I thought the same thing when I saw it, and then to read that cooking it kills off the "good stuff", it's probably not worth the calories. You might as well just make regular cookies emoticon

I never noticed the amount of sugar in that recipe. I do the no-bake recipe with basically oats, PB, Shakeology, and milk.
