I have been doing this program along with TurboFire. I have heard of some people not losing weight. Are you eating enough calories to account for the amount you are burning? Usually is the problem of not getting enough calories in and this causes the body to kindof shut down and hold on to the weight.

It depends on the person. I only lost 2 lbs but I didn't have that much weight to loose to begin with. But I leaned out some on my areas and core area. I also had more cardio endurance.

Did you check inches and other changes like improvement on cardio endurance?

What changes were you looking for?

My husband had to eat lots when he did Insanity with me because he was loosing too much weight and I just lost like 2 lbs. It has to do with our body constitution, genes, etc..

Are you following the Insanity diet guide? I know it sounds...well..insane...but with a high powered intense HIIT system like this you need to eat more of the right food!

Also, don't let the scale be your only arbiter of success. Are your clothes fitting better or becoming looser? Are you feeling better, more healthy? Has your stamina increased? Do you feel better/more confident? Its possible to be achieve all these things and not lose a pound!

Check with your Coach to see if he/she has any additional insight!

Keep pushing play! You can do it...I believe in you!

I have no Idea what you are doing wrong here. I dont see how you can fail to lose weight on this program.

I am shredded to bits and I am only on week 3.

All I can suggest is that your not hitting it hard enough or you are messing your diet up.

This is what I would suggest for you.

Eat Carbs in the morning and then at lunch and eat no MORE during the rest of the day.

IF you do that I guarantee results.. I personally think The insane diet plan has too many carbs.

How about you do insanity in the morning then cardio or insane abs 4 times a week in the evening. That works.

If that is what you choose cut your carbs in the morning, do Insanity on empty stomach ( with coffee ) have some protein after then somes carbs a few hours later

From what I have heard not everyone loosing weight or much weight with Insanity. Some do and some don't.

You can subtract 500 calories from your total calorie needs. That is discussed on page 11. Like I mentioned, I only lost 2 lbs, I followed the program very closely. But again, I was at my goal weight, so I was only looking to improve my cardio endurance and slim down a bit. It did that for me.

On page 63 of the book, Shaun T suggests:

Recalculate your calories

Reduce your calories by 100 to 150 calories per day but NEVER go below 1,300 per day

Check your portions and account for everything that enters your mouth

Are you eating every few hours?

Are you drinking soda, juice, alcohol? Not only do these calories count, they are generally bad calories.

Are you drinking diet sota? Two recent large scale studied showed people who regularly drank diet soda were 40% more likely to be obese and at very high risk of metabolic syndrome.


So check all those things and see what is going on.... Maybe you fall into one of these categories!!

I am at the end of week 2 of month two and I haven't lost a pound. Of course I am at the suggested weight for my height. 5'8 and weigh 138-139. My numbers have not moved since starting the program. My body shape has changed though. My legs are awesome....nice curves to them. My butt is much tighter and actually has a shape to it. My abs are getting defined and I am getting the v around my bikini line. My pants feel somewhat looser than before. Oh and my arms and back are looking great as well. I keep getting compliments on them. emoticon

So don't go by the numbers. If I did I would have quit after week 2. The scale isn't your friend so you can't go by the numbers when you don't have much to lose.

Well, I've only lost 7 lbs and lost 1/2" off my body since beginning. I am halfway through month 2.

I am 5'1" and weigh 122. I am only 5 lbs from the high end of my goal weight. I have not lost anything off of my body since beginning month 2 at all. I have a bodybugg and log all of my food into the website so I know what I'm eating all day everyday.
I also don't burn much due to my weight and height. I only burn 6.2 cals per minute for an average of 400 cals per workout and that is me really killing it as well.
My BMR is 1319 so I eat around 1400-1500 cals a day, but I only burn around 2200 per day.
I figure between the last couple of weeks of Insanity and 10K training I will lose the last of my weight to get to my goal weight and will eventually tone up as well.

All the advise is nice, but follow the program! Do not go and alter the carbs because "someone" thinks there are too many. The trainer and developers came up with this through testing and they are the experts we are going to for help. Make sure you eat enough and get enough sleep. u should not eat less then 1300 calories a day and just look through the guide book for suggestions. Remember the scale does not define you...how you feel is the defining thing. Reshaping your body is not always about loosing a bunch of weight but changing what it is made up of. You can do this...maybe stay off the scale until you are done then remeasure and reweigh. Feeling awesome is the goal!! Let me know how if goes. buddy request me if you need more motivation as i am dabbling in Insaniy also.

Yep - I'm into month 2 and no weight loss or inch reduction. However, I am more toned. I think fat has been replaced by muscle, but I look the same and wear the same sizes. and weigh 5 pounds MORE than when I started!

same boat as you man I am in the second week of month two and I have not seen very much results. no weight loss or inches what so ever. Wouldn't surprise me in the least if they are a joke and faked.

I did Insanity three times in a row and only lost 15 lbs the first time I did it. I decided to change it up because I felt I was starting to plateau, and so I started Turbofire. I'm almost done with my second week of that and I've already lost 5 lbs. So in my personal opinion, if Insanity doesn't give you the results you desire and you are doing the plan to a T I would suggest finishing it and starting a different one. Maybe shaking things up will help. emoticon

I completed Insanity about 3 weeks ago, and like many of you folks here, lost minimal weight - 3 pounds. I did feel "tighter" but did not need to buy new pants.

I started P90X and after 1 week, I missed the intensity of Insanity. I am not strong enough yet to get the cardio I desire from lifting alone. So, last week, I started the hybrid - Insanity and P90X. I have lost 2 pounds already!

Maybe a hybrid will work for others...but most importantly: Keep pushing play! You can't see or weigh the benefits you are giving your heart and lungs.
