So you've been wondering about all these different Beachbody programs- P90X, Insanity, Chalene Extreme, The Asylum- and you're looking for a fun support group to keep you accountable.

Well you've found that group. Congrats! We're a bunch of veterans of different Beachbody programs. We started off as an Insanity group, then moved to P90X / Insanity hybrids. Along the way some of us moved on the CE, while others did The Asylum. We've been there and done that. So come on in and introduce yourself.

We only have two requirements in our group. First, you need to stick with it. No matter what program you are on or where you are in your fitness, you need to be committed through the ups and downs.

Second, you need to have a passing affinity for our patron saint, Mr. Charlie Sheen. He may have his issues now and again, but he has a penchant for Winning. And having fun while doing so.

So come on in, introduce yourself to the thread and commit to join us on your next conquest.
We only have one speed; we only have one gear: GO!

I am about to finish insanity and my boyfriend is starting it on Jan 3rd. I'll be right next to him motivating him and helping with the nutrition plan while I go for my first round of P90X, we will probably sign in here to get support from the forums.

Awesome!

X Mike: Looking forward to keeping the fires burning after our P90X round.

Texmex99: It will be great to have your insights on the program as we get started. This will be my first Insanity round. But Rick, Mike and I are finishing up a round of P90X together; we can help you with tips as you get going too! '

Anyone else want to join in the fun?

I started Insanity on 12/6/10 but would love to join you on 1/3/2011... I am new to the beachbody community and have posted on another feed but didn't get any response. I'm looking to connect with folks that are using Insanity and who could offer a new-comer like me some tips, motiviation, and guidance.

**btw, I have been enjoying the DVD so far though I have a long way to go! I can't wait to see my results.

Most definitely! I've learned a lot during this past weeks that I feel like I have discovered a new life literally! my whole daily routine changed, eating clean has been rewarding as it can be,I've followed the elite nutrition to T. I am able to fit in my last year jeans again! lol, I've lost great amount of body fat while steadily increasing muscle mass. Body fat on day 1 was 26% and on week 8th is 13.8%. I was 127.4lb day 1 and on week 8 I am 124.8lb.

For starters I will tell you this : enjoy your first month as well as the recovery week -which as you soon will find is everything but recovery- because the second month is when things get serious and is when not only your body but your mind is tested. I did struggle with that during the 7th and 8th week. Tomorrow I'll start my 9th and last week, I am pushing harder to finish strong and be an insanity graduate emoticon

I am in too. I have been in the P90X thread and mixed it up with several workouts with the whole P90X crew. I have done tons of the BB workouts several times. First time ever to do Insanity. Was totally terrified but now after doing P90x twice, I really think I am ready. I am going to start on Dec 26. I am off for 11 days then and will be better able to deal with the soreness and be better able to control the nutrition aspect of it as well. Taking this week as my rest week. Next week will be either P90x or P90 Masters cardio leading up to Insanity. That should get me limbered up for it. I already have the dvds. Spending time reading and learning as much as I can so that I am 100% ready. I will do the fit test (looks super tough) and then also post my results. Looking forward to it. Lily

Hi everyone! Welcome to Lily and Allthat2! Great to see our workout group coming together.

Allthat: awesome that you are already doing Insanity. How are your results so far?

TexMex: Wow- those are some awesome results! Good luck on your last week. I've been sticking to the nutrition on P90X, and logging my diet on Myfitnesspal and am down from 200.4 to 183 with one week left to go. My body fat has dropped from 28.6% to 21-22% (depending on the day). I have plateaued a little with the weight/BF results the last two weeks, but overall my build looks much more in shape, especially in the back, shoulders and core areas. Gonna need some new clothes for Christmas! I'm hoping that the shift to the intensive cardio in Insanity will help break through the plateau and burn some more fat so I can get into the teens.

Lily: Glad to have another one of our P90X buddies in our group!

John,

Though I can't see the results a week later, I can definitely feel the results. I have noticed a difference in my drive & determination this week to push myself harder during the workout sessions. Though I still take a few breaks, don't jump as high as the others (weak knees) I am pushing myself to my limit and it has been encouraging. I look forward to doing the fit test again next week to see what my numbers will be. I will keep you guys updated.

I can't wait to get this started. I know I'll be putting on probably 5 lbs on the P90X break and from the holidays. I'll be including some weight training in the mix, so for me this round of Insanity will be a hybrid of sorts.

Count "toshiman" in. I already have it scheduled to start on Jan 3. If anyone else starting on 1/3 wants to be a workout buddy do a request with me. I would love to have a bunch of Insane people as buddies who are suffering as much as I will be. We will all need some extra motivation.

Our group is growing nicely...sounds like we're up to seven. Feel free to invite anyone else and keep posting on this thread to keep it up high on the message boards so we can attract more people!

I have 2 days of P90X workouts left for this round. I'm excited to take my after shots as I can tell that there will be a big change from September when I started.

Hi all...I started Insanity this past summer and was doing well until the 2nd month where excuses got the better of me. Hoping this time around w/ a group where there's some amount of accountability helps.

Can't wait to start.

Great- welcome guys!

For any of you who have done Insanity before, do you have any tips on workouts to do to prep for the program over the next 2 weeks?

I was going to start Dec 26 but I just can't wait. Too excited for the program. I am going to start tomorrow with the fit test. Plan is to do the whole 60 days, follow with the rest week and then repeat month 2 again. Going to Jamaica in March so want to really look good in the bathing suit. Will take pics and measurements tomorrow as well. Lily
