I only take one after Core Syn & Kenpo. Not Yoga or XStretch. I will say that when I 1st started I did take one after Yoga because it was so hard/difficult for me. But now, it's not and I only burn <300 cals the entire 1.5hr. So to me it doesn't warrant a RDrink after that one any more.

Although the name may imply otherwise, the recovery drink is not for a recovery day. Its main function is to restore depleted muscle glycogen, and to help repair muscle tissue with a bit of protein. This helps you avoid soreness (and it works!) So the "recovery" is only meant to follow a hard workout.

If you have not worked out, or if you have only lightly worked, you do not need a recovery drink.

Some "recovery week" workouts are tought, such as Core Synergistics. Others are light, such as Kenpo. The best way to tell if you need it is based on how hard you feel you have worked.

I began taking a recovery drink for Yoga and Kenpo, but stopped when I realized it was unnecessary.

Thanks! I'm pretty sure I'm still burning a ton during Yoga and Kenpo but that's because I really push myself and come out at the end soaked from head to toe but maybe that's just me.
