Turbo Fire Chalean Extreme Hybrid ?

Anyone tried this hybrid program combining Turbo Fire & Chalean Extreme? If so, how do/did you like it? How were the results etc.
After this week, I have 5 weeks of the basic Turbo Fire program left, I am thinking of ordering the Advanced DVDs to complete another 8 weeks after but after that I am debating... Hybrid TF & CLX? Hybrid TF & P90X, or TF and any other sculpting/Strength trainign workout?
If anyone can give me any suggestions or advice, that'll be great! THanks!

I am on the 8th week of the hybrid. I love it. I bought CX first and really loved that, but there were only 3 cardio work outs and the first time I tried it I never did the bonus one from Turbo Jam. This is my second attempt at the program and after a week I realized I need to up the cardio. I tried the turbo jam work out and fell in love. I wanted the latest though so I ordered TF.

I have lost 8 lbs and 6 inches right now. I slid back a little this month in my eating and I gained 3 inches back so the total was at 9. I just ordered the shakeology so I could avoid that problem over the next 3 months and hopefully see beautiful results.

I have gained a lot of muscle though. My shoulders, by the collar bone and traps are looking amazing. It is a preview of what the rest will look like soon. My calves have also started to really slim down, which normally doesn't happen in my work outs. They rarely change or acquire more definition.

I can feel my hamstrings are more defined. They feel harder under my skin.

My booty changed like you wouldn't believe. I have always had nice curves, but my butt was getting out of control. It was starting to get flat (but still big) and very dimply. After the first month it was so much rounder and smoother.

My biceps are bigger and more defined when I flex.

There's no way this program won't work if you do it.

The only thing I wish would be for more change in my stomach, but that is all because of my eating. I slipped pretty bad this month and had a bit of an excess of soda and white carbs. That will make anyone look like they have a gut, let alone someone who actually does.

This is a great combo of weights and cardio. It also has so much variety.

P.S. My boyfriend started noticing changes in me right away and it's actually motivated him to eat healthier and he even ordered Insanity. I think that's pretty good evidence of the results. It's pretty tough to make someone change their eating habits and want to work out.

Elisha- Thank you so much for your detailed review! This is amazing! Another quick question for you. Do you also have the Advanced Turbo Fire DVDs? I see that the Hybrid program calls for them too. So should I buy the advanced (I only got the basic package when I got TF) and also CLX? I don't have much weight to lose at all, and I love cardio so I love TF, but I think in order to really change my shape Im gonna have to have strength training in the mix to see amazing results. Years ago, I did it with Power 90 and that was one day cardio one day sculpt.

I did not buy the advanced DVD's. I didn't know I would need them until after I got started. I've been making due so far with out them. I use the ab work outs from CX and if I get bored I have the one from Slim In 6 as well.

I think you will see amazing changes from the hybrid. If you don't have a lot of weight to lose then you will see your muscles tone much faster. Even though I have some padding over most of my muscle groups right now I still get glimpses. I have to do a double take any time I move my arm and the bicep pops out a little. That's enough motivation to keep me going. I want to see the rest of my muscles do that.

It's always been my favorite part of lifting weights when I get to see my muscles working. I'm an anatomy nerd though. emoticon

So on point Elisha - CLX will definetly make te muscles pop. For the 1st time since college I saw my pecs and triceps emoticon. Using CLX I was able to drop 6% body Fat.

I know I hve muscle under all this belly fat and believe TF will help me see some of it.

I plan to buy the TF advance and shakeology to pump up the resuts. Let's rock-n-roll and push Play!

Elisha- Thanks! So you don't think I need the advanced DVDs then? right? Obviously I don't want to half do it but cutting down the cost helps! (even as a coach with a discount, it all adds up!) What do you when it calls for Upper 20 or Lower 20?

Iron Diva- That's awesome! I love Turbo Fire, I'm sure you'll see great results, first with just how you feel overall. That workout just keeps me on a high! Love it!

Shakeology (Chocolate) is awesome! I'm hooked on it!

I have been looking for a hybrid version as well and found that the hybrid schedule is in the back of the TF fitness manual. (starts on page 53) Good luck!

You can add both programs to your SuperGym and then do an auto-scheduled workout...a TF/CE will appear. Add this to your SuperGym and you the workouts will be scheduled for you!

CLX = Chalean Extreme. This is Chalean's weight lifting program sold by Beachbody. A hybrid is just a combined schedule of 2 of the Beachbody programs, so in your case it would be a Turbo Jam/CLX hybrid.

You can google "Turbo Fire/CLX hybrid schedule" and some different variations of hybrid schedules should pop up

Hey, I got CLX first and am wrapping it up by christmas. I love it! lost a few lbs but the strength is amazing. Don't get tired of it like I did with P90x. I'm trying to figure out what to do next too. Right now, here is my schedule. I try not to change it, but I always add or change it a little.

I'm in the Lean month, start 3rd week next week. I do abs everyday (think of it like stretching). I put how long it is after the name of the dvd. weird obsessive habit I guess..lol The first month I did Low Hiit 20 or 25 after the weight intervals, but the 2nd month, it was so hard, I did good to do the weights. I keep saying I'm going to get back to doing he HIIT after the circuits again, but I run outta time. I get up @ 4, drink coffee, then workout before work. Otherwise, I won't be able to with a family later in the day. I get too tired. So here is my schedule.

Mon-AB Burner10, Lean Circuit 1 (low HIIT 20)
Tues-Ext. Abs 15, Burn Intervals
Wed-AB Burner10, Lean circuit 2 (low HIIT 20 or 25)
Thurs-Ext Abs 15, Burn Intervals or Burn it off 26 or try a Turbofire
Fri-AB Burner10, Lean Circuit 3 (low HIIT 20 or 25 or Greatest HIITS or try one of the other HIITS)
Sat-Ext Abs 15, Burn Intervals or Burn if off or try a turbofire or turbojam
Sun-AB Burner, pick a favorite cardio, usually the turbojam. or off day.

Doing abs every day really helps.

Here is my nutrition plan, the more I stick to it, the better I feel.
4am-coffee (before workout)
6am-body fortress brand whey protein shake choc. pb flavor (good w/half banana)
9am-oatmeal at work with green tea later
12-spinach salad with can chicken or tuna and dried cranberries and italian dressing made with evoo and vinegar
3pm-coffee and almonds
6pm-chicken and veggies or a kid plate or whatever we're having.

and try to go to bed before 8 or 9 (7:30 is best)

I have to figure out what I'm going to do next. I think I'll miss the weights if I just do turbofire in Jan. so we'll see what I come up with.
