In a perfect world, all the fitness and nutrition advice you’d really need would be “Get off your rear, eat lots of veggies, and drink water.” Sadly, that doesn’t always do the trick. Bodies can get injured. Workouts can be confusing. Vegetable consumption can be surprisingly challenging. So to help you navigate the mine-filled waters that make up the sea of good health, Beachbody has answers - lots of answers.
Customer Service – for all your “other” questionsFor starters, if you have a non-fitness-and-nutrition-question regarding, for example, shipping, orders, web issues, or peace in the Middle East, your first (and hopefully last) stop will be
Customer Service.
FAQs -- in case a bunch of people have already asked your questionIf you have a fitness and nutrition question, we have answers in a variety of formats. The first place to look is the
Fitness Advisor Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ). Mind you, I’m not saying that your queries aren’t unique. They may, indeed, be unique in the sense that thousands of people may have probably asked them before you did. Have a perusal of the FAQs to see if they’re in there.
Newsletters – for super in-depth answers to general questions
Another couple of great sources of information are the
Beachbody Newsletter and the
P90X Newsletter.. At this writing, the Beachbody Newsletter was well past its 400th issue. That’s a heck of a lot of info to parse through, so we’ve come up with the nifty
past issue index. And here’s a
P90X Newsletter index.
Email – not so great for answering your fitness and nutrition questionsAfter checking out all that information, there’s a slim chance your question still won’t be answered -- or maybe you just really, really want to interface with a member of the Beachbody staff. At this point, sending an email is really tempting, but don’t do it! Steve Edwards alone receives hundreds of emails each day. He tries his best to get through them, but in much the same way William Shatner can’t respond to every piece of fan mail individually, there’s no way Steve can answer all your emails, so your best bet is to hit the boards.
The Message Boards – for one-on-one answers to your questionsThe Team Beachbody Message Boards, specifically the
Nutrition or
Fitness Forums in the Information & Education section, are the best way to get personalized answers from Beachbody.
Once you’ve gotten to this point, the quickest way to get an answer is to use the search feature towards the top of the page. If that doesn’t work, our friendly, courteous Advice Staff makes a point of reading everything posted in these two forums. We are, however, human, so if you think your question has been skipped, just add a post to your thread with a “bump.”
Keep in mind that if the coaches and members of the Team Beachbody community have answered your question sufficiently, we might not chime in. So, if you’re interested in our responses more than those of the general community, let us know when you post. Don’t discount non-Beachbody staff answers though. There are a lot of very knowledge people on our community.
When we do answer, either the Advice Staff will chime in, or if they deem it necessary, they’ll pass your question up the chain to one of our specialists, including the aforementioned Steve Edwards.
Please allow 24 hours for us to get to your questions and keep in mind that we don’t work weekends, unless we’re really, really bored. If your question is so urgent that you can’t wait that long, it’s probably an issue too important to be asking across cyberspace and you might want to talk to your doctor or health specialist.
Chat Rooms – roll the dice, you might get an answerFinally, the
Chat Rooms are probably the most instant way to get a personalized answer, but keep in mind that if you’re hoping for an in-depth dialog with Tony Horton, you’re not alone. Odds are that the answers you get will be quick and to-the-point, so if you require a conversation or you know your question is a tricky one, you’re much better off on the Message Boards.
Embarking on a new life of fitness can be overwhelming. And even if you’re a long-time exerciser, finding advice that suits your individual needs can be frustrating. With this in mind, we’ve come up with an assortment of venues for you to address your concerns. Hopefully, one of them will be a perfect fit!
