What Cecy R. won:
Tell us about your life before you started the program. How did you feel about yourself and your body? * I was 27going on 28 years of age and I was at my highest weight of 297 lbs. For being 5ft. 7in. it was a lot of unhealthy weight to carry.  This was my heaviest ever!! I was never this heavy not even in both of my pregnancies. I had gained all my weight after I had my second child. Normally I was around 145-150 lbs. so this took my family and I by surprise when I gained all my weight. I wasn't happy but I just felt stuck. I would just eat and lay around the house. I was always tired, never had any energy to do anything and being a mommy to two little boys was very hard. I found myself always wishing I looked different, lost weight and was just over all happy and healthy. I didn't like who I had allowed myself to become.
What inspired you to change your life and begin your transformation journey? * In September of that same year we ( my husband and I ) were invited to a trip to Vegas. It was only couples so I thought it would be a great idea for us to go and have fun.I was excited to go until I had to pack. I found myself stressing about what outfits would look okay on me to hide my body. When we did go out, I felt so HUGE compared to all the other people in our group.  Everyone wanted to hang out at the pool and I was not having any part of it. I made an excuse of having to shop for my boys just so that I wouldn't have to go down to the pool.Later that night we rented a limo to transport us to a night club. Everyone got in and it was me and my husbands turn to get in and we did not fit because I was too big. He sat in the front seat with the driver!!!I remember that was my wake up call that I needed to say hey this is enough.
What is the greatest challenge you faced before beginning the program? How did the program and Beachbody® help you overcome that challenge? * My greatest challenge before beginning the P90X program was self motivation! To me it seemed impossible to ever dream of me being fit and healthy. i would say to myself "You're going to start on a diet Cecy and work out!" and i would only last 2 maybe 3 days tops and I never even lost any weight. I had no plan, guide or anything to get me started or to keep me accountable.Now with the P90X program everything was different. I had the instructional booklet, nutrition guide, workout videos and the Team Beach Body website if i ever needed any help or guidance. It was a win/win situation. I felt motivated because I had the tools and knowledge i needed to succeed in my weight lost journey
What in particular did you like about the program you chose? * What i love about the P90X program is that its flexible! The P90X program gives you 3 different options for you to workout. You have the P90X Classic, P90X Doubles, and the P90X Lean routines. The work out instructional booklet give you all the information you need to find the right workout program. For me, it was the P90X lean routine that helped me to lose over 145 lbs. It had everything right there for me! It took the guess work right out and i just had to open the booklet look and find my video DVD, and put it in the DVD player and i was ready "TO BRING IT!" I also love the fact that the P90X program also gives you the Nutritional guide booklet to help you learn to eat the proper way to give you that right amount of nutrition your body need to help achieve a healthy beach body.
Describe the results you achieved with your Beachbody program. Which achievements are you proud of? * My Greatest achievement is loosing over 140 lbs in about 10 months with the P90X Lean routine. i have gone from 297lbs to 145lbs. I went from a size 24/26 size dress pants to a 8/10 dress pants size. My body has gone from just pure body Fat to toned and lean muscle.I also have muscle definition in my arms and legs. i am now half the woman i was 1 1/2 ago thanks to the P90X program and Beach Body Team.
How has your life changed since completing your Beachbody program? * My whole life has changed for the better. Before the P90X program, i honestly did little to nothing physical. i had a very hard time just getting out of bed and starting my day. I had little to no energy to play with my young boys. I was always sleepy and only sat around watch life pass me by. After using the P90X Program i am now A HEALTHY, ENERGETIC, MOTIVATED and Most Importantly HAPPY person. I start my day ready and willing to take on all that it has to bring. I look forward to my daily workouts, and most importantly i have that energy to walk , play, jump and run with my children. I have gained control of my body and my life, thanks to the P90X program and Team Beach Body.
How did participating in a Challenge Group help you reach your goals? How did your group support you and keep you accountable? I believe i stayed accountable because of the support from my Husband Gerardo, my coach Don Preston, our group the collective, and my family and friends. Being over weight for about 7 yrs, it takes a toll on your self-esteem. So when I decided to take control of my life and bought the P90X program, I got all the support from them. there were days that I felt just like quitting and going back to my usual ways cause that was easier but i knew that i had the help i needed from my team and coach. we made a page on the internet where we post motivation quotes, and we encourage each and everyone our our team mates meet their daily goals. i have learned from our coach, that we need to take it day by day write things down, and visualize our goal and keep them always in our mind so that we know that it is possible.
How did your Team Beachbody® Coach support you on your journey? My Coach Don Preston was great. for the start he was very informative, and was available to me when ever i had a question about the P90X program our, meal plans, and my personal goals i wanted to achieve.He posted motivation quotes, and encourage each and everyone our our team mates meet our daily goals. i have learned from our coach,that I need to take it day by day, and to keep in mind to do my best and all will follow threw. Coach Don would also check on us via internet, and ask me how my fitness journey was going. if there was anything I might need to count on him and the beach body team.
How did a Beachbody Supplement or Nutritional Product or Program (such as Shakeology® or Beachbody Ultimate Reset®) support your transformation? What are the greatest benefits you gained? Did you see benefits to your energy, sleep, mood/mental clarity, digestion/regularity? i have sampled the Shakeology. I loved the taste and the nutrient it has. i have yet to order a monthly supply but i know i will do it in the near future.
How did a Beachbody Supplement or Nutritional Product or Program affect any existing health conditions you have? I learned many tips and tools from the Beach Body Program. #1 DIET. You need to eat the right foods, to fuel your body to get the energy to workout. With the right food and exercise program you can transform your body, mind, and life. #2 CONSISTENCY: is key. You need to keep at it to change your body. Don't give up if you don't see results right way. Its is a journey, enjoy it.The struggles we encounter makes us stronger in the end. #3 REST: our body needs rest in order to grow healthy. #4 DETERMINATION : stay focused, no excuses, and don't limit your self.
