Chicago, IL I'm 25 yrs old and born and raised in Chicago, IL. I graduated in May 2006, and going to school part time to finish my MBA in Business Administration and Finance. I work full time and travel away from home about half the year, so making sure I stay healthy on the road is very important.
I have been familiar with Beach Body since 2004 when I completed Slim in 6. Being non-athletic most my I'm 25 yrs old and born and raised in Chicago, IL. I graduated in May 2006, and going to school part time to finish my MBA in Business Administration and Finance. I work full time and travel away from home about half the year, so making sure I stay healthy on the road is very important.
I have been familiar with Beach Body since 2004 when I completed Slim in 6. Being non-athletic most my life, Slim in 6 was a great start to working out. Five years later in 2009, I was introduced to Insanity by Shaun T. I loved the high intensity workouts but did not follow the schedule. I incorporated other workouts into my schedule such as biking, running, high intensity boot camp style workouts, strength training classes, etc. Later in July 2010, I started P90x after looking for ways to add variety to my workout and still build strength. So far, I love the program and I see changes in my body.
But overall, I have a real passion for fitness & diet and nutrition. I feel both go hand in hand, and I'm constantly educating myself on the various parts of both. Recently, I became introduced to the Vegan lifestyle. I used to be a Vegetarian up until end of 2006, when I started to eat poultry and then incorporated fish into my diet. However, in the past 4 years, I haven't really felt the same and feel that eating meat was the culprit. So just in the past few weeks, I've eliminated meat products from my diet and now focus on eating healthy vegan and raw foods. I've been experimenting in my kitchen with new recipes and I really enjoy "un-cooking" as you would say. I have more energy and feel like my body is changing for the better. I don't feel weighed down or fluffy as much anymore either.
As a beach body coach, I want to inspire others to sustain a healthy lifestyle by incorporating more whole foods and exercise into their daily schedule. The way to go is by taking small steps. Like they say, "You don't have to see the whole staircase to take that first step."
