Hey, what's happening! A little about me... I'm a family man who loves to spend my time with my wonderful wife, Elizabeth, and my three kiddos Zackary, Zander and Zaden. We have always been the family that wanted to live a healthy lifestyle but live in Northern Minnesota, where you're almost an outcast if you live healthy!

My family and I live in Northern Minnesota where it's really cold for half the year in a small mining town. Most of the people in this area pack on the pounds and eat a lot of comfort food so it's incredibly easy to get wrapped up in that lifestyle. We definitely don't live in an area that cares about vanity or how you look.

Even with all of that negative validation of an unhealthy lifestyle, I always knew I didn't want that for my family. I've noticed most people getting really overweight and unhealthy in our area as they grow older. That's definitely not for me.

I'm young, so I've always ate fairly badly and didn't think too much of it. I also never exercised. I started noticing my energy levels dropping over time and I would start taking naps during the day. I didn't want to get to the point to where I couldn't do things outdoors or play with the kids so I decided it was time to make a change.

I stepped on the scale and didn't expect the number I saw. It had crept up a little further than I expected. I weighed about 209 pounds.

The first thing I did, was I went on a low calorie diet and ended up losing 9 pounds over the course of about 2 weeks! This was great and I knew I could lose weight but then I found out I'm most likely losing as much muscle tissue as fat by losing it this way. That's definitely NOT what I wanted! I had done that before and everyone told me I looked like skin and bones and needed to eat.

It was about that time that I was up early in the morning and saw the P90X infomercial. I had heard about P90X before and knew it was for me but like most of us, I had excuses and just hadn't purchased it yet. I finally jumped online and ordered the program. It was time to stop making excuses and make a change!

That first day was brutal. I never realized how out of shape I was until I did day one. This is absolutely the worst shape I've ever been in. I had to really push to finish the exercise and was completely exhausted. Day one was nothing next to day two and I felt like I couldn't do anymore with 33 minutes left on the dvd! What a wake up call this was! I kept pushing and pushing to get through, and was able to complete it! I know if I wasn't committed, there is no way I could have finished that workout. After day two and how hard it was, I knew I could get through anything!

By the time I got to my second week, I could do more reps and more weights. My third week was even better!

It was at about three weeks that I noticed a significant change in my abs. They were no longer flabby and started to show definition! I couldn't believe it was happening this fast!

From there, I started to really look forward to the workouts as they were starting to become addicting! At first, I had to really push, just to get through the workouts. Now I love them and fitness is starting to become my life!

I'm enjoying this process so much that I decided to become a personal trainer just three weeks into my program. I was in the right place at the right time and learned I could be a Coach instead.

At this time, I learned I was lacking nutritionally and discovered how amazing Shakeology is. Now I'm changing my body on the inside and out!

My hope is that my transformation will inspire others to do the same. I feel better, look better, have more energy and my outlook on life is completely different! I now look forward to things and am just happier all around! :)
