Hello everyone. My name is Michele park. I am 41 years old and the mother of two amazing girls 9 and 11. I have been involved in fitness for over 25 years. I have been a group exercise instructor since i was 16 ouch!!! I recently got remarried to a wonderful man who believes I am perfect. Lets not tell him the truth. I live in Southern California and teach for a large fitness chain. I love my students. They are what keeps me coming back year after year! Over the last 10 years I have had the oppurtunity to train thousands of group exercise instructors around the country. Helping motivate people and spread information about fitness is what keeps me motivated!!! I also teach private Pilates Reformer at a local studio. During the summer I teach high school PE. For the last 6 years i have been teaching the kids TURBO JAM and they love it. They giggle and they laugh and most importantly they move!!!! This summer I am going to start up a local Boot Camp to encourage my neighbors to get out there and burn off those extra calories. I could talk for hours about the benefits of eating healthy and working out(and sometimes I do). I am so glad your are on my web page. I hope that in some way I can motivate you to get healthy!!! Every since I was a child I was overweight. When I was 13 my Mom took me to a local health club (family owned) where I preceded to rest my stomache against one of those rollers hoping to loose the fat. Well of course it worked because my diet at that time consisted of a candy bar and a diet coke. Talk about unhealthy eating. Oh my goodness. Because it was extreme (unhealthy) I lost 30 pounds that summer. Since then it has been a constant struggle for me. I am not a naturally thin person. I have to watch what I eat and exercise or the pounds seem to creep up. When I was 17 I started teaching aerobics. I loved it. I knew I had found my passion. I kept the weight off for years. Then I got married, got older, had babies, grew older:), had stress, got divorced, got remarried, had stress:) and realized that I had to do more than I was doing to stay in the shape that I wanted to be in. During this time the weighthad started to creep back on about 20 pounds to be exact. Everyone said, "Oh you look great" but you know when you are uncomfortable in your own clothes that it affects your day. Well I made a change!!!. I took a deep look inside and decided that I was not living the life that I should. I got serious about my health. So here I am. And yes I still struggle on a daily basis, but I try my hardest to make the best choices. The choices that my kids will be proud of and the choice that will keep me around for years to come. I started doing TURBO years ago and I LOVE IT. It to this day is my favorite workout of choice.
