I think the greatest thing that beachbody has given me is my life back. I am more active and i love to just go out and have fun. NOTHING slows me down anymore. I love the outdoors and to be able to go out and run a couple miles is the greatest feeling. Not only has my transformation changed me in a physical sense but a mental sense as well. Putting forth that dedication has given me a few bonuses. Before i started Power 90 i was gettin ok gradess in school, since then i have averaged a 3.85 GPA with 2 semesters at a 4.0! Not to mention the added benefit of being able to enjoy my life more. Im not your typical staying up late, getting drunk, eating pizza college student. I AM HERE TO BRING IT!!!

Growing up I was always a very active kid. I grew up on a farm, baled hay, and did a whole bunch of other sorts of outdoor things. I only came in the house to sleep and eat. When I reached high school I was already starting to put on the pounds and it didn’t help that I went from 5'8" to 6'5" starting as a freshman to a senior. Once I got into college my eating habits got worse, I ate dorm food every meal of the day and as every college student eats, ramen noodles, easy mac and taco bell. I could drink soda like it was going out of style and sugar and candy filled veins.
My sophomore year of college, my dad whom was a really big guy, 6'3" and 250-260, got really sick from stress induced diabetes and dropped to around 130 lbs. He was admitted into the hospital and that’s when I knew if I kept along this path I would be in the same place. I decided right then and there to stop eat junk food. I started simple, cleaned up my diet and started working out on a light basis. I gave up pop and fast food. My dad and I had been discussing losing weight and he brought up P90X one day. It was some infomercial that he saw and said that the guys were getting ripped.
I was up late one night and saw the infomercial for P90X and knew that’s what I wanted to look like. However, I knew that it would be too extreme for me to start with. I ordered Power 90 in April and decided to start it in May. That summer went really well and I did 60 days of that and moved onto the Master Series for another 30 days. I was seeing results, losing 30 pounds or so and it was at that point I knew I was becoming addicted to fitness and dieting. In September of 2007 I started my first round of P90X and saw some amazing stuff happen. I lost 40 pounds on my first round. As the winter and spring passed I worked really hard at P90X over the summer and won the AUGUST 2008 $10,000 transformation contest. At that point I began a new round to get myself in the ultimate shape for the $250,000 final contest.
I pushed myself to new levels and got down to 198 lbs and 10% B.F. in January 2009. This culminated in a total weight loss of 135 pounds and over 25% body fat on Beachbody products and P90X. I did not make it to the finals but I learned more than I ever could. I continue to push it to new extremes and plan on starting Insanity in September. I also plan on running an Urbanathalon in October to test my fitness and endurance. Beachbody has taught me more than I could ever think was possible. It was more than just losing weight, it was a lifestyle change. I am scheduled more than ever before, I am doing great in school and I am physically fit. I owe this all to Beachbody and hope to pass on the word as often as I can.
