Finally into the New House!

We closed at the beginning of August and have just about everything moved over from our duplex. Now I'm just trying to unpack boxes, etc. That's alot of work too especially when I only have evenings and weekends to do it. It is really amazing how much stuff a family accumulates over 11 years!

I had to put ChaLean Extreme on the back burner while we were moving. I've been working out with Turbo Jam and just finished Remix. My legs are having a difficult time with working out on carpet again, I think I might need different shoes that don't grip as much. I plan on starting ChaLean again in the next few weeks.

And soon, I hope to have my "office" organized so I can begin to work on my coaching biz. That is one of my main goals. I also have the duplex to take care of as we are renting both sides now. Luckily my daughter and granddaughters are in one side and my brothers-in-law are on the other side. Brothers-in-law are probably moving at the end of September back to Anchorage for a shorter commute to work. So that side will be up for rent soon.

Off to get ready for work......

ChaLean Ext Lean Circuit DVD Stratched

UPDATE: Yay! My daughter got my DVD to work!! She said it was a smudge, not a scuff mark and polished it out and I was able to do Lean 1 today! Quite a workout - I almost convinced myself that I'm not ready for it but I stuck it out and did okay.

Today is my first day of the Lean Circuit phase and I started the warm up and suddenly the workout skips straight to the middle. I checked the DVD and it has a scratch. So now what? I don't know if BB will replace it or if I can purchase just that DVD again. And how long will it take to get another one? I was so excited to start this DVD today. Now I'm really bummed. I'm the only one here who uses this workout program (any workout program) so it had to have been scratched when I got it and darn it, I didn't check them all well enough I guess.  AARRGGHH!

Motivation Waining :(

Not sure what is up with me. I was going great, moving right along, then Wham! I'm struggling.

I have lots of stress in my life right now but usually its my workout time that is my salvation. The past couple of weeks I've found myself slipping away from what I know really keeps me going. Maybe it was my husband commenting the other day as I was starting my ab workout after my Burn workout. How many workouts are you going to do today anyway? It sounded like I was keeping him from doing something more important. I was like, Just 2. But since then I've found that I especially have difficulty fitting in my workouts on the weekends. Its like I don't want to inconvenience him or something, which I know is like way WRONG! I should be like well then Mister go put your shoes on and pick up some weights and work out with me! Why is it that instead I let it get to me and think that maybe he thinks I'm doing this all for nothing, like he has no confidence in me. It was so discouraging! And so then what do I do? I start eating, just munching on junk all weekend. Now I feel like crap, I've missed 3 days of workouts and I'm so mad! But even though he made me feel like I'm wasting my time, I am the one responsible for not working out and for eating chips and ice cream and who knows what all. And this, my dear, IS a waste of time! I can't blame anyone else for that but me.

Tomorrow is a new day, a Monday, and I rarely miss a Monday workout. I wil be up by 6am, with my workout clothes on and will be pushing play on my TJ for some cardio before getting my my 1st missed workout, Push 2.

Until tomorrow,

Making Today a Rest Day

Woke up with an irritating headache that just isn't going to subside well enough to get a workout in before work. I suppose it was inevitable since my stress level is pretty high right now. Lots of drama going on in my house and I'm stuck in the middle of it all the time. Then had to run all the way to Anchorage to take my daugther to ANMC ER for a bad ear infection. Left as soon as I got home from work, ate Arby's on the way and didn't get home until after midnight and didn't get enough sleep. If I don't get exactly 7 hours of sleep, I wake up with a headache. Weird, I know.

Even with all the drama going on at home I'm trying to eat clean so that my workouts aren't wasted. I've not been perfect but I think I'm doing good. I really need to get in the habit of keeping a food journal though. I've tried to track my food on this website but I find it too time consuming trying to hunt down the foods that I eat - the brands, etc. never seem to be listed. I've been trying to follow the ChaLean Extreme eating guide.

I am incredibly sore this morning from Burn 2 yesterday morning. I did Cardio Party first and then Burn 2 and I felt so amazing afterwards. I like ChaLean Extreme but I just get to missing Turbo Jam so it helps to put one in every once in a while. My granddaughter, age 4, likes to workout with me. Its so cute!

Its time to wake up my husband for work and get another cup of coffee to see if I can alleviate this darn headache and get ready for the day. I hate when I have to go to work and haven't worked out yet but I'll be okay, just not as nice as usual ;).

Back from Daytona Beach / Restart week 3

Got back from Florida last Monday and restarted the middle of week 3. I didn't get to exercise every day as I had thought. I did get a great stair workout at Daytona Speedway though. And I tried to eat as clean as possible which was very hard and I definitely was not perfect. But I'm back in the game and ready to work and see some results.
