Analyze, improvise, adapt and overcome!

The Marines have this great saying - Analyze, improvise, adapt and overcome.  Talk about a thought process that applied to everyday life!

One of the biggest issues that women face has we hit our 40s is that our hormones change.  And when they change, it can significantly affect our weight and the way our body processes fat.  The pounds pack on, you still workout, but zippo.... the scale doesn't move and you get frustrated as all get out.

The trick I've learned in addition to healthy eating is upping your cardio. Where 25-30 minutes used to cut it in our 20s and 30s, now you need to commit to 45 minutes of carido several times week.  How do you fit that in your schedule on top of doing your regular workout?  Analyze, improve adapt and overcome!

If my days goes perfect, I get up early and plan for a good 60-90 minutes of workout time.  In the not perfect world, I either knock off the weight training in the morning with P90X or CEX and then before dinner I slip in a quick 20 minutes of cardio.  You just MAKE time.  If you want to see those inches burn away, you've got to put in the extra work when the 40s roll in.  And, the good news, is that as your body adjusts and recalibrates, it gets easier.

So stick with it, make the time and OVERCOME!
