 When starting your new fitness program, like P90X, Insanity, Turbo Fire, Les Mills Pump or whichever video program you've chosen, go through and watch them first to get an idea of what it's all about. Sometimes starting right out of the box can leave some people feeling both physically and mentally overwhelmed (or injured) thus causing them to quit. By getting your brain to start processing the moves and the info, your body will be more apt to follow along thereby giving you a better workout from the get go. Plus it will help put expectations and goals into better perspective. If you're just off the couch and new to fitness, while educating yourself with your new videos, get your body used to moving with a walk or a 10-15 minute warm-up and X-Stretch or the stretch/recovery routine in your program. Remember, a little prep work goes a long way toward successfully achieving your goals. Your body and your brain will thank you.
