Last month we talked about the power of creativity. Personally, I'd love to stay with that topic a little bit longer. But we'll save that for another time.
From the book Secrets Of The Millionaire Mind by T. Harv Eker, 17 Ways Rich People Think, I’ll present one nugget a week with… a following thought by yours truly. Here's nugget 2.
Rich people (How about abundance thinking people) play the money game to win.
Poor people (personally, I like scarcity thinking people) play the money game to not lose.
Have you ever wanted just enough money to pay off your monthly bills? Or maybe you were a little bit better off and needed just enough money to not only cover the bills, but that upcoming vacation you've been planning on! Does the phrase "just enough" make you feel comfortable or uncomfortable? I mean ... even if you had more, what would you do with it?
Maybe you'd feed a hungry family that’s been suffering because of some unfortunate circumstances in their lives. Or how about a family member lay up in the hospital but you find out later, their hit with a $450,000 medical bill they can't afford. Need I say more? And these are the scenarios dealing with people in unfortunate circumstances that could have been helped ... but because of our just enough philosophy, we are compelled to hold back what we have earned because we only have enough ... just enough for us. Sorry world - but not today! I don't have it to give! I only have "just enough".
Let’s take another scenario. I like this one because I can identify with this! You're in a fine restaurant with your wife and you see something you'd like to try, BUT ... you see Market Price! What the heck is Market Price? Whatever they tell you! Simple as that. So you look for the next cheapest meal. Boo hoo! Ever go to a car showroom and you see the car you've been eyeing from afar. You see it! You smell it! You touch it! You sit in it! and then Whoa ... sticker shock sets in. Or how about this ... you just purchased the house of your dreams and you have just enough to by some new furniture and window treatments and what do you find out ... the house has just been infested with termites and you have no termite warranty! Not only are you now stuck with the treatment but also the repairs and you find out the average cost is ... again ... just enough! Oh well! There goes the new furniture and window treatments!
You're probably saying, so what in the world does this "Just Enough" philosophy have anything to do with my health and fitness? A lot!
How many of us give "just enough" to say "I did it!" Three things we fitness nuts hear all the time in P90X ... Modify, Modify and Modify! Some of us have to modify longer than others. But remember, as you get stronger, more flexible, more energetic and improved balance its time to step it up just a 1/4 of an inch more, one rep more, one extra minute. And how about abundance? Have you noticed how much more energy you had after several days, even weeks after a workout? You're getting better ... you're getting better.
So, think abundance ... abundance of energy ... abundance of strength ... abundance of flexibility ... abundance of balance. And you will never have "just enough" again!
God bless you and Bring It!

So why don't we have more? What's our society's philosophy about wealth, abundance,
