So, I have been answering some questions on the message boards having to do with being consistent with diet and exercise. Some have mentioned that after they complete P90X or insanity that they "fall off." Then what is the solution? You can always do another round of the program you just finished, but say you want a break; here's a few tips to keep the exercise flowing and not lose the results that you worked so hard for.
· Mix it up with some fitness-influenced activities. Give yourself a break from the routine, but not a break from fitness. Plan some weekend hiking trips, bike rides, swimming days, basketball - anything that interests you. Try to work out with some of your favorite Beachbody workouts a few days a week as well.
· Take a vacation that is has a fitness element. A spa retreat with some yoga classes, a camping or lodging trip near some National Parks for skiing, snowboarding, hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, or other outdoor activities. OR take a trip to Las Vegas this summer and work out with all of your favorite trainers at the Beachbody Summit.
· Start a new challenge with a new program. If you've completed a few rounds of P90X and need something different go for Insanity or the Asylum, or vice versa.
· Back off with a lighter program. If P90X or Insanity pushed your limits and you're ready for a break, try 10 Minute Trainer, Power 90, or any of Beachbody's other programs. 10 to 30 minutes of exercise each day is a lot better than doing a round of an extreme program and then just stopping all together. With a less demanding program you can continue your healthy habits and jump right back into P90X or Insanity when you are ready.
· Find a Beachbody Fit Club close by. Fit Clubs are a fun way to workout in a group setting to the programs you love.
