Four months ago, after a particularly humiliating annual checkup, I realized that I could not continue with my weight-gaining ways. Over 5 years, I had gained 50 pounds, 10 pounds a year. I had become “morbidly obese,” at 205 pounds. I had thought of myself as someone who took care of herself physically but here I was, getting a lecture from the nurse about losing weight. How did this happen to me? I had the realization that I had done it to myself.
For years I was frustrated, depressed, in pain from lugging around all the weight and not fun to be around. My clothes wouldn’t fit. I couldn’t keep up with my 5 year old daughter. I just could not stop the constant and continual weight gain. The ability to stop eating and start getting healthy was too elusive and felt unobtainable. I had given up and given in to that ugly voice inside telling me that I could not and would not get better or healthy or lean.
Finally I decided to do something, even something small to counter that voice. I knew that going to a gym was not going to work for me. My work and home schedule precluded me from regularly getting to a gym. This sounds strange but I did not feel that I was in any shape to be seen at the gym. It was too embarrassing. I needed to be able to work out at home but did not know how to create an effective workout. I had heard about online training and the success that some had with it. I was also impressed by the work that Jackie Warner had been doing on her Thintervention show. The internet brought me to FitOrbit and a great price made me take the plunge.
I have made such incredible progress in these last 4 months that I cannot believe I am the same person. With the help of my FitOrbit coach, Dayna, I have lost 23 pounds, lost several inches off my waistline and dropped 2 dress sizes! Those results would have been amazing on their own but I have also gotten my energy back, have little to no back pain and can now run to keep up with my daughter. Colleagues and friends comment on my weight loss and demeanor over and over. This has been a truly phenomenal transformation. I have many more pounds to lose but I would not have believed it was possible before.
Dayna deserves special recognition and credit for her work with me. She made it easy for me to work out anytime and anywhere I am. My job requires that I travel and my schedule can be unpredictable. For me to work out at all requires flexibility and creativity from my trainer. Dayna has given that to me and made sure that the workouts are challenging and effective. Dayna listened to me and worked with me to put together a diet that I can live with both on the road and at home. She has pushed me and supported me when needed. I would not have been able to do this without her.
The FitOrbit program has provided both me and Dayna with a forum in which we can be most effective. I am grateful to have found such an amazing program and trainer. I hope that we work together for many years.

It all began when you mentioned that you were not only certified in teaching, but was a certified trainer as well. Then I mentioned i was starting a program to get cut and look good for the summer and you gave me a basic program that included running in intervals on a consistent basis.
