Ending Midway Point

As I finish my 6th week of Chalean Extreme I am at the midway point.  I feel like my body is starting to show signs of change but I am not going to weigh or measure myself until the 8th week.  I was dissappointed by my 4 week results which showed nothing.  I am expecting to be happier with my next check-in.

My next challenge will be staying on track while on vacation next week.  I am throwing 75 pounds worth of weights into my SUV.  Packing will be an adventure this year!

Cardio day coming up

I am starting to not look forward to Wednesday's.  That is my cardio day for Chalean Extreme.  I am really not looking forward to it.

Anyone have any mindset-tricks to get yourself excited about doing cardio?  I am definately a strength training girl.

Love lifting heavy weights

I love the Push phase of Chalean Extreme.  I love pushing myself to get through the 8 reps and the feeling of failing.  That to me is a workout.

I feel good for making up the workout I missed last week too.  There was one day when I just couldn't get into my workout.  Of course, it was a cardio day which is my least favorite - but I made it up!

My arms definitely show improvement.  I've also finally started to track my calories.  It helps me feel more in control of my overall fitness picture.

Now I need to start thinking of a plan of how I am going to stay on track next week while I am on vacation.

Week Two of Chalean Extreme

I have started week2 of Chalean Extreme - this is the Push Series.  I love it.  I am shaking and weak by the time I am done but it feels great.  Just don't ask me to flap my arms - ouch!

I noticed for the first time that my abs were really working as I was doing my reps.  Usually I just try to hold it tight but don't feel anything.  Today I did.

I think this series is going to be great for me. 

Tomorrow is the dreaded cardio day - boo hoo.  I am so not a cardio person.

I am also on mile 21 of my 35 Mile Facebook Challenge.  It is so hot outside that it is tough to really "move it" but I am getting out there and getting it done!

Over the Hump

Wednesday's are tough days as far as workouts go.  I am glad I got through it and am on the "other" side.  It feels great to have the hard workout done for the week.  I am finishing off week 4 of Chalean Extreme.

Next week I will start the Push Phase.  From what I have read you use even heavier weight that the first phase. I have a tough time keeping my grip relaxed so this phase is going to be tough for me.

I can't wait to check my progress although I don't expect much.
