Huge Changes!

So, this last June I went to Idaho to visit and had the chance to watch a Ironman 70 triathlon. I was watching folks that were in their 60's and even 70's finish the race. I was telling a friend of mine standing next to me that I should be able to do this if they can.

I came home and decided, I'm going to do it. I did some reading online about them. And, I made my own Hybrid of P90X and Turbo Fire. I've added in swimming, running and biking everyday as well. I'm in to week 2. I have only missed a few of the goals that I've set out to do. I'm at about 90% on target though! I am completely proud of myself. While I may never actually do a triathlon, I am going to be in the best shape of my life! Going on 52 next month and feel better than I ever have in my entire life!

I did do one month of Insanity and my cardio is in better shape than I could have hoped for but I lost a lot of strength while doing it. So, this was my reason for switching it up. I still do Insanity from time to time. For instance, I run a Fit Club and we did it today. When I first started Insanity I couldn't even get thru a part of it. Today, I was able to finish the whole work out! Yay me!

I still have some belly and thighs to deal with but with the work out program that I have set for myself, it won't be long till it's all gone! This past month I dropped 3% body fat. I'm totally loving it! Oh, and I am in a bikini for the first time since I was in my teens!

Starting Over

Hello everyone! I'm back! So much has happened. My wife and I are no longer together. She is still a great friend and I am so happy for her friendship! It did require my moving back to California though, out of my house and into an apt. Not exactly ideal conditions, and definitely more LOUD! But, I'm adjusting and finding paradise right where I am. I'm close to all of my babies and grandbabies which really makes me feel complete. I am blessed to have them close and be a family again. I have let my coaching part of me slide as well as my fitness and health. I tried to get going again when I first moved out here but I dislocated a shoulder and that set me back again. Now, I'm feeling solid and ready to take it all on again! I am doing Chalene Johnson's 30 day challenge for goal setting. WOW....if you haven't seen it, you NEED to go and do it. It is life changing! I am beyond excited about my future! I haven't decided on a set program to follow this time. I'm thinking of doing a variety...Turbo Jam, Hip Hop Abs, P90X and the 10 minute trainer. I think I'm just going to do what feels right for that day. I'm all into my Shakeology drink! I have found a recipe that I really like and have it almost every day now! I have my vitamins and am ready to go! Let's make this year one over the top freaking amazing year! I'm ready to be there for you and help you as never before! If you've fallen and feel like you've slipped back into old habits, that's okay....take my hand, stand up and let's get movin! We can do this. I've slipped, I've let myself and others down, and I've made a boatload of mistakes along the way....but that is our past! We are here to rock it and be wondeful and amazing! Eyes forward.....HERE WE GO!
