Intervention

WEll the other day I staged an intervention at work, not for a co worker or boss but for myself.  Yes I am addicted to espresso.  Just one a day but still it is my secret boyfriend who I lovingly refer to as Alejandro!  Yes that was before Lady Gaga

For three weeks I was clean I quit cold turkey and even gave my espresso beans to my neighbour for safe keeping, it is lent after all.  I was feeling great, I was free of the shackles, the anxiety and heart palpatations.  And then, one beautiful sunday afternoon at work, a scent on the air made every hair on my body stand on end as Alejandro entered the atmosphere.  HE called to me with his rich undertones and overwheling boldness of taste and I answered.  Oh, I answered him good.   That was three weeks ago.  This Sunday past I made an announcement, that if anyone were to see me head to that espresso machine and call upon my hearts yearning desire they are to stop me, smack me (if I'm aggressive) and set me straight.

YEs all it take is admitting you have a problem and asking for help!

Power 90

So after a very stressful year I have started from square one.  Taking time so that mt body can adjust at its own time.  I remember the amazing results I got from doing this program When I was 22 (eight years ago shhhh. don't tell) and I have to admit it is just what I need.  SO for four weeks I was going strong and seeing results.  Feeling awesome and had some clarity again. 

You noticed the word WAS didn't you?

Well as it turns out I pinched a nerve in my back and didn't listen to my body when it told me to stop.  Instead of just taking it easy for a few days I pushed forward with yoga and Power 90, afraid of feeling the way taht I did four weeks prior.  But now I feel worse.  Yes the pain will go away, yes I will get back into the program probably more determined than ever, but I have to give my body more time than it would have taken in the first place if I would have just let it heal. 

DAMN YOU EGO!!! DAMN YOU!!

On a lighter note, Easter is this coming weekend and I am pleased to say I am not touching any chocolate.  TAA DAAAAAAA!!!!

Anti-chocolate Movement

so I think that whoever invented the cadbury chocolate Mini eggs must have done it and said...

"This will get her...this will get her everytime.  bwah hahaha BWAH hahaha Bwah HAHAHAHA!"

well they were right.  how ever I have decided to laugh in the face of the man known as Cadbury and not eat another one ever again.  They are my cryptonite, my Akiles heel, the thorn in my side and my midnight lover...but now we are through.  As of today..oops..as of tomorrow I am moving on and getting myself into amazing shape for a black string bikini.

Take that Mini eggs...Bwah hahaha BWAH hahaha BWAH HAHAHAHA!

Kick ME

Okay so after going and getting into a groove I had a small wrist injury...okay got over it no big deal.  Then it seemed to be one thing after the other as far as distractions go so I have decided to focus on every moment of my workout,  not let myself get distracted even when the creative juices are flowing.  i have seven books that I am working on and every time I have an idea I stop what I'm doing and just start writing.  DISTRACTING...GOOD...BUT DISTRACTING.

I need a good kick in the you- know -what!  Any takers??

Wrist issues...OUCH!

Well my workouts are going well, I am doing them everyday and making sure I make time for myself...and then BOOM!  My Wrist siezes up and I can barely move my hand.  My husband thinks that I slept on it funny.  So lifting the kids all the time and going on with life has aggrivated it even more.  So this week I am going to take it easy as far as weights go and just stick to cardio...

Doing a mix of Plyo, cardio X, Kenpo, Power 90 and Turbo Jam...

I am a little frustrated i have to admit with the timing but I have to respect my body and allow it to heal.  I can't even do a lot of my yoga...Meditation however is a must...

Bring it-ish.
