Mind Over Matter

On September 5, 2010, I suffered from a life threatening injury which occurred during a diving accident. I broke my neck (C1 in four places, C2 shattered). I was in a halo for 7.5 weeks, and in 12 weeks was 100% recovered and back to teaching fitness full time. Not only is it a miracle I am alive and not a quadriplegic, but I recovered at record speed... 4 months BEFORE the doctors gave me. My physical strength, fitness, wealth of knowledge concerning the human body, and most of all, my indomitable will is directly responsible for this.

We can’t predict tragic accidents that may occur in our lives, but we can be prepared for them just in case. In my case, I was prepared, and thank goodness I was. There is simply NO EXCUSE GOOD ENOUGH TO NEGLECT YOUR BODY! Keep it strong and keep it healthy, as you just don’t know when you will need that physical strength to survive.

Wow, I am just now seeing the post about your accident. How horrible. Glad that you've recovered. Being in great shape prior is proof positive toward your return to near 100%. See you in WOWY.
