It's the little things that can make the difference.

I’ve noticed something these days as I walk through malls and airports and such. People love the escalators and walk way ramps to get around.  Is it too hard to actually walk a few extra feet?  My suggestion to everyone out there is take the few extra steps and burn some extra calories.  Even when parking your car at the mall.  Instead of circling around the parking lot 6 times, why not just park your car and walk?  Sometimes it’s the little changes in our habits like that can have a huge impact on our health.  It’s not about starving yourself or eating rice cakes to get to your goal weight.  We need long term solutions and good habits.  Think of how many extra calories you could burn in a year if you just skipped the elevator to walk down 2 flights of stairs.  Give it a try sometimes.  You may be surprised with how much better you feel

The Time Crunch

I have the opportunity as a Beachbody Coach to speak to people from all walks of life.  When I talk to people that do not exercise on a regular basis the biggest excuse I hear is “I do not have the time to exercise”.  Now I know that nowadays our lives are getting more and more hectic.  People are waking up earlier, staying up later, and sleeping less and less.  However, I also know that when someone says they do not have the time to exercise, it really is just an excuse.  The great thing about Beachbody programs such as 10 Minute Trainer, Slim in 6, INSANITY, P90X, and all of the others is that Beachbody realizes people are busy.  Beachbody understands that not everyone has the time to work out for an hour a day.  This is why they design these different workouts.  There is something for everyone and best of all, you do it all from home.  No need to waste away $60 a month for a gym membership, head out in the freezing cold to go to the gym, or dragging the kids along.  You show me the busiest person in the world and I guarantee you that no matter what they have 10-30 minutes a day free at some point to elevate their heart rate and break a sweat.  If you have been using the time crunch as an excuse, take a look at some of the Beachbody programs I listed above.  You will find something that will fit your lifestyle.  If you have questions, I’m always here to help.

P90X

It has been 2 years now since I was first introduced to P90X and the Beachbody Community.  After a co-worker told me about the P90X workout program I decided to order.  I had already seen all of the TV infomercials, but like many people these days I too was skeptical.  At first I thought that it would be just another gimmick or workout fad that wouldn’t deliver.  Ordering P90X turned out to be a life changing experience for me.  After the first day I almost cried.  I knew that the workout was the real deal.  My main concern at the time was how the heck am I going to do this for 90 days?  In the end I did and went well beyond.  P90X exceeded every expectation of what I thought it would be.  Today, I am a Beachbody Coach.  My website is www.legendsoffitness.com.  I have documented my progress with P90X through photos and video which can be found at www.youtube.com/daruuk.  My results are as real as they get.  I worked hard to get to where I am today and I eat right (most of the time).

     To all the people out there who have written to me and asked, “Does P90X work?”  The simple answer is yes.  Like anything in life you will get out what you put in.  You need to push play all 90 days and you need to be consistent.  If you dog it during your workouts then you will not see the amazing results like advertised.  If you push hard you will see results quickly and will be very satisfied.  P90X is the real deal.  It will give you discipline in all aspects of your life and once you start you will be hooked.
