It's the little things that can make the difference.

I’ve noticed something these days as I walk through malls and airports and such. People love the escalators and walk way ramps to get around.  Is it too hard to actually walk a few extra feet?  My suggestion to everyone out there is take the few extra steps and burn some extra calories.  Even when parking your car at the mall.  Instead of circling around the parking lot 6 times, why not just park your car and walk?  Sometimes it’s the little changes in our habits like that can have a huge impact on our health.  It’s not about starving yourself or eating rice cakes to get to your goal weight.  We need long term solutions and good habits.  Think of how many extra calories you could burn in a year if you just skipped the elevator to walk down 2 flights of stairs.  Give it a try sometimes.  You may be surprised with how much better you feel
