My new eating plan is going well. I'm down 6.8 pounds as of today. I'm writing down not only what I eat, but how I'm feeling after and between meals. On 7/29 had 1500 calories and on 7/30 had 1845.

I'm looking forward to my Power 90 workouts starting Monday!

Getting ready part 2

Did Cardio X today. Felt pretty good even if I didn't go as long or hard as I had in the past. Did have a little bit of side stitch on the right near the end, but not too much. I'm loving my recovery drink right now.

My diet is working well. Between yesterday and today, I lost 4.6 pounds, most of it water I'm sure. But still I wasn't hungry and had enough energy. At 1775 calories yesterday, all clean, healthy food.

I'm working on meal plans for my 4 workdays. I work 10.5 hours a day, with different shift times mostly. It's hard, even though it's a desk job. But I will work out, whether I have to get up earlier or do it after work. If I can't bring it quite as hard on those days, I will make it up on my days off.

The Joy of Discipline or the Pain of Regret - Which Will It Be Today?

Getting ready

I've been doing Power 90 this week, sort of getting back into the groove and getting ready for my official start date of Aug 2. Sculpt I did mainly to see what weights I will need. I've definitely lost some strength which I will get back. Did Sweat today and had a great workout. Lots of energy.

I'm refining my diet. This week at work I'll try to work out the kinks of eating healthy at work. And, I'm joining my workplace's Biggest Loser contest. Some cash on the line and I know I can win.

Looking forward to my round of Power 90!

The Joy of Discipline or the Pain of Regret - Which Will It Be Today?

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I've done Sweat 1-2 before the cooking gets too busy. Did good, but it's strange, the right hip flexor is still the weak spot. It was back when I did Power 90 the first time too.

Did better today. Like the last Sweat day, I was on the verge of a side stitch most of the workout but it never materialized. Bit by bit, I go a little higher, or harder, as best I can. I try to never just do the same as the last time. Continuous improvement over time.

Speaking of improvement, I was 326.8 on the 20th and today I am 319.8. 7 pounds released to the wind! 317 is my lowest point ever and that was for about a week back in October. I'm feeling good, I'm looking forward to my workouts and I'm already getting stronger.

Since I've barely started, this may seem premature, but I lie in bed at night making plans for what I'm going to do, exercise-wise. Finish 3 months of Power 90 and hopefully be strong enough toward the end of the 90 days to get in some Master Series (I have only 2 of those discs) and maybe CardioX and Shoulders and Arms. I LOVE S&A. I love the worn out feeling when I'm done with that workout and I can barely lift my glass blender jar.

After that, maybe a week of mixed workouts then the fit test and P90X. Lean or classic, I'm not sure at this point. Then it will be summer, and I want to ride my bike a lot, and do a variety of workouts. In the summer here with no A/C, it's really hard to do indoor workouts.

Once it cools down and gets rainy here (about October), probably another round of the X. Then we will see. By then of course, I will be down quite a lot of weight and be much stronger.

Anyway, that's my plan as of now.

Day before Turkey Day

Did Sculpt 1-2 today. Had a good workout, really feeling it by the third round. I did make one change, the chair dips are on the third round, I switched it to the second round. Did six fairly good ones with my legs close in. Those are really hard for me, so I thought I'd try them with slightly fresher arms.

I did about 10 reps today up from 8. Tried for more reps in the last round if possible. Used a mixture of band and dumbell.

Had a good breakfast today. Grilled chicken breast, romaine lettuce with ff italian and sliced tomatoes on the side. Planning on eating really well today and a bit less than I normally would to get ready for tomorrow.

Tomorrow at some point before dinner, I'll be doing Sweat 1-2. I'm off an extra day on Friday, not sure what I'm doing then.
