The calves strike back

Last week besides Sunday was a wash - tried on monday and Bam - the strain in them sidelined me - took the week easy - starting ginger whats the use if I limp everywhere - owitch - today good right where I left off.

Beginning of 5th week

Nearly 30 Days in - stronger, more toned, no weight loss 194 this morning actually. Not a great week for working out - son broke his arm wrestling and after 10 hours in the emergency room, taking videos of a ketamine drugged 14 year old saying 'wheeeeeeee' I didn't have any gumption for that day or after. Needless to say my overwrought calves enjoyed the break too.

Sculpt today good, no straining except on my final 3 or so pullups and pushups. I'm coming along but pounds ain't peeling off at all - but I'll take the strength and muscle increases.

4th Week

Ohhhh TurkeyDay - why am I such a dang good cook - still stronger and heavier - grrrr 193... No change in measurements.

Have developed some persistent calf strain and am dialing back some of the jumping bits to recuperate - still firmly in 1/2 territory.

Begin Third Week

Ok No change to measurements again... Except added inch to chest and all exs are more comfortable to do. Still using 15 lb DB for each excercise on the Sculpt (which requires effort to near failure), and doing my Additional Pullups, Back and Finishing excercises, and PHH Stretch now 3X a week - though I am doing each of the bridges for 30 total breaths instead of ten reps of 6-10 breaths each - anything more and I collapse like a fresh caught fish flopped in a bucket.

Pos side - clothes are fitting better and GF sez I look a lot better. Energy way up and mood better too. So stuff's working - I'm figuring the intensity will pay off as time goes on - this is just like when I went to Boot Camp - I didn't lose or gain a pound just got stronger. Nice to know at 44 my body behaves close to how it was at 20.

Going to add something else this week - not sure what - maybe Iyengar, walk/run or Jumping Rope...

Begin Second Week

No changes in measurements after a week - prolly cuz I've been eating to feed my furnace - gonna better watch my calories this week - for even though no inches changed I gained 3 Pounds to 192... Grrrrrr...

Don't feel as bad after using 15lbers for each exercise in Sculpt either, also increased pull up incline - so we shall see what the work in progress becomes
