So when life gets crazy and I feel overwhelmed what do I do?  I stop doing...completely.  I don't find alternatives.  I don't find a new way of doing things.  I just stop.  Maybe when things get crazy I could sub a yoga workout...ya know...get the relaxation and calm that I need.  That has to be a great substitute versus just doing nothing!  I thought I missed more, but I only missed 3 workouts.  3!!  I feel like poo.  But, today is Monday and I'm gonna workout and I'm gonna eat well.  I have a plan damn it!  :)

Food fuel for the body not the mind

So I am on day 40 of ChaLean Extreme.  I'm feeling really good, stronge, leaner, seeing those muscles, etc.  I took my 30 day pics and was looking at them and I asked myself, what the hell?!?  If the pictures were my only measurement of success, I would surely be upset.  And I was...for about 24 hours.  I just didn't see the difference I was expecting.  What could be the issue?  Well, since I am on day 40...I'm getting the workouts done.  The food is consistently healthy and good.  However, there are those days that are cheats...or contain meals that are cheats.  So, could this be holding me back?  Perhaps.  My thoughts are that I should really cut back on carbs again...sugar and white flour...I am most successful when these are out of my diet.  Up the protein, specifically the lean proteins, and up the veggies.  This is simple!  Takes a little planning and attention on my part, but it's easy.  Do not cave and say, oh, it's only one meal and I'm in a rush so I'm gonna eat this crap.  This doesn't work.

Also, is it possible that I need more cardio?  Maybe every day jump on the treadmill or do a dvd?  Maybe I need this to kick the fat burning factor up a notch.  Ugh, when will I find the time!?  Welp, gotta make the time.  I know I must have another 20 to 30 minutes I can eek out...for me.

So, though yesterday I was ready to throw in the towel, to give up, to say it just doesn't seem to matter what I eat I'll just never shed this weight, TODAY is a new day.  I must keep it going, my size is not the only factor in play here...my health is.

No sugar.

No white flour.

More protein.

More veggies...at lunch and dinner!

More fruit too...

Continue my exercising and add a few minutes more of cardio.

I'll revisit this in a week and then in a month.  I'm sure the results will be positive.

Snowed in and lazy

Big snow storm today had me inside much of the day.  A few times I was out shoveling a little for the dogs to get through and the kids.  I was up very early, played, shoveled, cleaned, napped and now it's 6:30 and still no work out.  So............  I'll be doing CE Push Circuit 1 in about 30!

Stop trying to fool yourself!!

Sure, you could eat mcdonalds.  Sure.  But why!?  Yes, it does affect you after you eat it.   yes, it does zap all your energy.  Yes, it does make you fell icky and sick and full.  Yes, it is full of all kinds of nasty ness.

So...you didn't cook the night before and  have no left overs?  NO REASON TO MAKE AN EXCUSE AND FOOL YOURSELF INTO MCD'S.  It's nasty.  Let it go this last time and don't do it again!

Move.

On.

I think I need a tums.

Day 17

Day 17 of ChaLean Extreme.  Had 2 bad eating days this week...but moving on!  In the moment, stress won.  But I won't let it ruin my progress and keep me from my goals.
