I took a break from my workout schedule to deal with the crazy snow, family changes, work stress and a bunch of other unexpected events. So I took time to really think about things that I need to change to keep me motivated. One thing that I definitely had to change (and I feel kinda embarrassed saying so) was my habit of smoking. I started smoking about two and a half years ago out of stress and frustration I was dealing with a pretty traumatic event in my life and somehow became a smoker along the way. Its so weird because before I started I was that girl would be lecturing or getting on others around me for smoking. Go figure! LOL! So I just got to the point where I really wanted to quit. About a year ago I made quitting one of my new year resolutions and last year I probably tried to quit at least 5 different times but would only last a couple days. I tried Chantix at one point but has some weird side effects. This time I feel really good I quit cold turkey and I've been smoke-free for two weeks. WOOHOO!! I found that I do much better when I commit to shorter time periods. This time I would say, "Im going to quit for three days" then after that 5 days and so on. Its perfect timing because my sister just had a baby so now I can not only stick around longer but set a good example as an auntie. :)

I feel really good and my energy is much better. The first week that I quit I had enough energy to get up in the morning and workout. Its so weird because when you quit you realize how much the first cigarette of the day really zaps the energy out of you. So now instead of smoking on the way to work I chew gum and sing with the radio (geez that sounds kinda dangerous). LOL!

So now the game plan is to workout in the morning and when I get home from work. It'll be a good way to keep my energy up all day and prepare for my future figure competition. I really want to accomplish this goal because I've always admired their builds and I miss being active in some kind of sport.

Starting Sunday Im going to be doing the new Brazil Butt Lift its another beachbody product. I can't help it I really like their stuff. Im kind of an addict. LOL! When I first started working out I got Slim in 6 and then moved up to Turbo Jam, then Chalean and now BBL. So I'm going to be using this blog to review this program and show everyone my progress.
