P90X One on One - Just Arms Volume 1

What an awesome workout program!

Since I started working out to Beachbody products, I have only done P90X, P90X+, Insanity and RevAbs. I started working out to Beachbody products back in Feburary of 2009 and became a coach in June of 2009. I was familiar with the One on One series but never really bothered to look closely at the workouts. Well about a month ago I started a P90X hybrid program that was a combination of Insanity, P90X+, P90X and the One on One series.

So the One on One series is structure where Tony has a camera on himself while working out at his home. The workouts are usually 30 to 45 minutes long and they typically focus on certain areas of the body. For the workouts that I have done so far, there is usually anywhere from 6 to 9 different workouts that you do. The goal is to do 2 sets of each workout.

I love the Just Arms workout as it really targets the arms. This is a workout where when you are done, you feel and see results. This workout only requires some dumbbells and your time. Another reason why I like this workout is that is targets the forearms. Trust me when I say that you will feel the burn :)

No get out there and try the One on One series. You can get on a subscription or you can simple purchase a single disk. A single disk purchase will cost ~$25.

Insane Abs and Ab Ripper X

Can you say ouch? This was 45 minutes of torture. I am not too keen on ab workouts but I have to do it at some point. I have no problem jumping up and down for cardio exercises, however; when it comes to laying on the ground and raising my legs for an extended period of time, it cringe at the thought.

Today was rough but I made it through. I kept telling myself that at the end there will be an ice cold glass of the Results and Recovery formula waiting for me. :)

I am hopeful that everyone had fun with their workout today. Just do it!

Back to Backs and Biceps..

This morning I did Backs and Biceps followed by Cardio Abs. I decided to take my time when doing my workout. Since I have done P90X 3 times now, I for the most part, know all of the moves. My gols is to up the weights for bulking but concentrate on form. Folks, form is everything!

Needless to say, this 45 minute workout turned in to 75 minutes. :( I was so not looking forward to Cardio Abs but I sucked it up and did it anyways. I guess I am saying this because the act of exercising is more mental than physcal. You would be amazed what your body can do if you convince the mind that it is possibly.

Have a great day folks!

So much for a rest day

So I am doing this P90X hybrid program and on Sundays I do Ab Ripper X2, Cardio Abs and Stretch & Recovery. Ab Ripper X2 and Stretch & Recovery is from the P90X Volume 3 One on One Series. Cardio Abs is from Insanity.

Let me tell you, I am not doing the three of these in the same day anymore :( The whole thing is just too long. Heck, the Stretch and Recovey is 1 hour and 5 minutes :( I wont get in to the ab workouts :(

Moving forward, I will just do the Stretch & Recovery with Cardio Abs. I would highly recommend getting the Stretch & Recovery if you have not. A great workout! Today was my first day doing the workout. No I need to get me a jump rope.

Today was a lovely day!

Well I suppose it was lovely :) Prior to my hybrid I have been doing RevAbs. What I have noticed with RevAbs is that there is very little weight training. I think RevAbs is a good core program, however; it should be mixed with a P90X or Chalean Extreme.

Anyhow, the P90X hybrid program I am doing is all upper body workouts. I tell yah, my biceps, triceps and shoulders are sore. I was looking forward to todays Insanity workout. Today I did Max Cardio. I ended up skipping through a few of the floor workouts as the shoulders just couldn't handle it. I am sure next week I will have recovered enough to push through.

Today I also took a wonderful bike ride around lake perris. Here check out the ride.
