Slow lifting is HARD

I know this is not news to all the CLX graduates but holy cow is it hard to lift very slow.   I started round 4 of p90x last Saturday.  I'm doin ght efirst half of this round experimenting with hypertrophy.  I'm following the mass schedule that Steve Edwards wrote a newsletter article about and lifting slow, 5 counts up 5 counts down as he wrote about on his blog.  The differences between what kind of weight I move now and when I lifted "normal" are staggering.  I hope to increase my muscle mass from this. 

In the second half of this round I'll switch it up to lift for strength.  Mass always looks good but I don't want to have bigger muscles that aren't actually useful.  Mass is the capacity for strength, like an a larger cup.  I'll focus on strength and hopefully get that side crane pose!
